Looks like a team to me guys. I look forward to getting to know you as the ball gets rolling. I will be hunting NE Kansas bucks. I have spied a couple that I would love to put on the wall. Good luck to each of you. Just remember to enjoy each and every hunt and don't let the contest pressure you. Its just for fun. Chris

yuck, bought a new bow this spring (bowtech allegiance)

being that it is 4 weeks till the beginning of the season, I am moving from shooting to practice form, and building up my so called muscles to using some of the equipment that will be present at some point during the season.

Being only 65 degrees out this morning, I figured it would be a good time to slap on the heavy gloves I use when the temperature drops and see how they feel while shooting.

Well........I am consistent but that means I am consistently about 4" to the right, tried shooting with a glove just on the release hand, it was better, shooting just with the glove on the hand holding bow, better, shooting with no gloves, dead on, back to two gloves, to the right.

So, nearest I can figure once the temperature drops, I will need to reset the sight to compensate.......

First time this has happened but I did do some major changes to my anchor points this summer, and that new anchor point must be getting out of wack with the added bulk of the gloves.....

so my advice, make sure you take a few shots with your hunting gear on before you head out.

(once it gets cooler I will be putting on the heavy jacket also, but 65 is a wee bit to warm for that)

Sherm, What if you slip off the glove on the release hand when you have aquired a "target" ?

Thats one of my biggest pet peeves. I see so many poeple worrying about elevation when clothing is one of the biggest problems with accuracy as the season prgresses. I have been actively practicing in full camo for almost a month now. I will also jog around the house once and then pick up my bow and make a shot to simulate the ruch of having a deer in range. shortness of breath, increased heart rate. i think its really improved my overall accuracy.

but when it gets cold i use a "pop-top" glove on my shooting hand.

I agree Camden. Glad I practiced last year in gear before going out. The full face mask threw me off the most. Anchor points felt very different. Just took some practice to get used to it.

I use a wrist strap type of release with a heavy glommit (flip top?) type of glove, so once it all goes together, it is not a quick and easy removal of the various pieces.

I have tried using a muff, but I hate having my hands in a something besides close to the bow.

Hopefully, if I can get some of these deer patterned out, it won't matter, as much as I love the rut, this year I am willing to close out my season before it even starts, will score some browning points with the wife also, no hunting widow this year ;)

I had some arrows dipped this year with about 8' of white by the nock, then had a white, 2 hot pink blazers put on, never see pink in the woods, thinking it should really stick out, it aint a fashion show out there....or with the pink maybe it is.....hmmmmm
