Sat out right around 200 hours this year for that 30 seconds.......

Probably was close to that the previous 2 years and all I had to show for it is at least I wasn't at work.....:D:D

If I win the lottery, I will probably get divorce papers come the fall, all that time I could be sitting out in the woods.......man, that would be so cool.....;)

yesterday we had a high of about 7, with 20-30mph winds

right now it is -3 out and I can still hear the wind blowing

kinda sorta glad I am tagged out.

Hoping you get some favorable weather that fits into your schedule though Mohunter.....it is never a bad day when you are out hunting.....

So, is anyone still out there grinding it out?

Was thinking about going out and doing a bit of pre-shed scouting, yanno, sitting in a tree and seeing what bucks are still around, but looking at the weather forecast, and seeing that all of next week the highest predicted temperature was gonna be maybe 15 degrees, nah........nix that idea ;)

If the season is done, I just wanted to say I had a blast reading your posts, don't know how ya'll felt about slogging your way through my awful stream of thought typing, ooo is that a quarter under the desk....nevermind, but I sure had fun. Thanks guys.

sounds like you got the luxury of trying to put something in the freezer after the holiday hecticness settles down a little bit, so if you get something after the new year, does it count as shooting in next year?

all the seasons end the 4th of January around here,

As odd as it sounds, the deer around here are running wild right now.

The landowners nephew is up trying to get a buck in the late season, talking to him sounds like he has been seeing more deer right now than I did during the first part of the season. Bucks running around everywhere and a good amount of does.

On xmas day, up at my parents house on the outskirts of town, but still in the city, there were at one point 5 bucks fighting in his back yard, couple times less than 10 yards from the house (one a nice two year old 7 pointer, another, a really big bodied buck that has shed his antlers already, also has a nice wound in his front shoulder, can't figure out what caused it, antler wound? odds are probably a arrow wound, if it is a gun wound, the buck had to come a couple miles from the nearest point a person could hunt legally)

Stopped by there last nite to pick up a few things, and there were 3 bucks in the backyard at 1 pm, just milling around.

Hit up into the mid 40's today, but the rest of the week is looking like back in the 20's as a high, gonna be tough on the deer. I see a nice layer of ice forming on top of all the snow (avg snowfall at this time is about 15" local tv station says we have about 40" so far this year already)
