Troy,

I'm sorry to hear about the news. I am not a religious man but you and your mom are in my thoughts and I wish only the best outcome. Take care.

Thanks guys very much in regards to my mother, shes just finished chemo and has a double masectomy scheduled for Dec 4. Then 6 weeks of radiation after she heals from the surgery, she will be at our house for a good month after the surgery. She is a fighter and has a great attitude, she beat this same cancer 20 years ago..its back for round two with her. We have put it in Gods hands and she has great doctors.

I am still getting to hunt quite a bit, no complaints here, I was out this morning for 2 hours before work, bucks are just starting to get curious, I watched two young bucks with a doe at about 50 yards from my set up. Its still not "on" up here yet, we have a very late rut compared to you midwest guys. This weekend and all of next week should be great, does will be coming into estrus pulling some big bucks out of the mountains.I will be in a tree orin a groundblind all weekend and then5 days next week that I have off.

Correct me if I am wrong but I just ran the #s ...we are at 489 5/8 ... with Gregs hawg added that puts us in 3rd???

489 5/8 is what I came up with as well.

Mulie- 92 4/8
me- 67 1/8
Rammer- 105 6/8
Red- 61 2/8
Greg- 163

I noticed too that the figure in the"official current standings" thead is incorrect because itshows our total as 383 7/8. Rammer's score is not reflected in that number.

If all the rest of the numbers are correct, we are in 3rd place right now.

First off,Shed you and your family are in my prayers. It sounds like your mother is a fighter and has beatin this once before.
Well guys I have been on vacation since Oct. 28th and I bowhunted every day and I unfortuneately still have my tag. I passed up two bucks I probably shouldn't have but I had seen bigger bucks in the same area. Another buck I would have shot caught me completely by surprise, I was watching two does and two fawns with my binos and he came trotting by at a mere 6 yards. I was in a stand along a standing cornfield and with the wind blowing I did not hear him until he was right on top of me. (YES I FELT VERY STUPID) oh well. On nov 6th while I was walking out to my morning stand I had my headlampon and all of a sudden I see two eyes. I was thinking great it's a doe and she is going to blow and let everyone know I'm there, wrong it's a buck and, and nota little buck either. I'm guessing a 140 to 150 8 pointer. Yes I about filled my shorts right there,he walks right up to me, I'm talking within 10 yards. We both just looked at each other and then he turned around and just walked off. I have never expierienced anything like that before.
Well the area I hunt has a 9 day if its brown it's down season that started today. So after this season is over I will be back at it. Congrats too everyone that has scored already, great job.

I think if he could speak, what he would've said was:

Look, I know you think you're smarter than me, but let meassure you you're not. The proof is me knowing where to meet you to tell you face to face. And by the way, I pissed on your tree.

Yeah, Hoytail I think you summed it up pretty well there. Oh well I have until Dec. 31st to prove him or one of his compadres wrong.
