That is a great buck! Congrats to him and too bad for you...[&o]There will be others!

The weather sucked for my weekend, besides, a couple of dogs came and circled my entire area right at prime time!!! [:@][:@][:@] Just before that, in the first hour I had seen 4 deer. Two does, a fawn and a 2 1/2 7 pointer. It started out real good!

I'm hoping to go back up this weekend and try again.

Yeah Greg...there are some other good bucks in my area so hopefully I will get a crack at one of them yet this Fall.

Hunting sucked for me this past weekend too. The wind switched directions on me as prime time approached...I could hear does blowing from down wind of me. It rained most of the time and didn't see any deer.

I'll be out again next weekend.

cooter - Thats too bad about your buck there! He was definately a Slammer. I'm sure another one will show up in his place, seems like they always do. I still have 2 weeks before I can hunt

hey that too bad and one hell of a buck. I just came home from my moms house with my fiance and we stopped to check out two deer. turned out two bucks sparring out in the field. one is about 110'ish and the other would be about 160+ no joking huge. have not seen them since tonight. I have huntable land on either side of that field. Will be out again soon.

The 4x4 I posted a while back in velvet has come out:

And a new buck showed up that I hadn't seen, but am not seeing quite frequently in the daylight hours.

I've also got about 20 other bucks on the camera in last 2 weeks. If either one of these bucks presents a shot opportunity, I will more than likely be punching my tag. I've gone enough years without tagging a buck, this is the year!

I'll be out hunting Fri, Sat and Sun.

Hopefully I'll have better luck than last weekend.

Theforecasted wind directionsshould work well for a few of my setups.

Who else will be out this weekend?

Rammer, great pics! I love the height on the second buck. It looks like the tips almost touch in the front.

Good luck this weekend Cooter. Hopefully you can get the big brother of your neighbors buck!

I'll be giving it a shot this weekend. I'll be after deer and turkeys. It would be nice to bag one of each because I'm going moose hunting the following weekend and won't be back until Oct 9th.

Good luck guys!
