i know of 1 buck taken near here that went 197", and another 181" buck, several in the 160 to 170 class have fallen. maybe my turn tomorrow, there are still a lot of Does that havent come into heat, i even saw a mother with her 2 yearling fawns, she hasnt kicked them out of her home yet. i guess i would say we should have another solid 10 days of rut to go.

Sounds too me like the bucks in your area are starting to make mistakes! Hopefully one makes a mistake in front of you! Good luck!

As for me.... Is it Friday yet?!

I hear you on not seeing much rut activity. Everyone around my area has said the same. I am going to try and pull an all day hunt on Friday. I am hopefull that one of the 3 biggins will decide to show their face! We are looking at some snow here on Saturday.

well it wasn't a total loss yesterday, froze me rearend off with the rain and cold.
had a decent button buck sniff around right under the stand I was in, never did offer up a shooting angle. then after he left a coyote came through the corn field, he was a good 80 yards or so away so I couldn't try and take him with the bow. a couple ours after that I was looking behind me for any movement in the corn and saw a bobcat. at least i think it was a bobcat, to small for a mountain lion and to big for a lynx.
even tried Lake Manawa to fill my management doe tag, saw a lot of deer, just could get close enough to close the deal.

I attempted an evening hunt boys, but i went in early because of the conditions. Snow and rain and wind over 20 MPH = not fun. Surprisingly, i did see a doe. I guarantee you guys that ill be out in the morning in the stand my brother shot his doe out of.

78deer on35 hunts,26 does,30 fawns,11 bucks and11 unknown.
