Just another quick update, one of my hunting partners (and fellow FireFighters)shot a 130 class 8 point on Monday night. Him and his brother (both live right down the street and we hunt each others land) both shot 8 points this year that they got on trail cam.

Nothing on the day. Saw about 30 turkeys that wouldnt leave the area (couldnt film becuse my camera froze up), but no deer. I did cut across a few tracks on the way in. Im trying the edge of the hayfeild tommorow.

I went out agian last night and got skunked. I believe that is 5 bowhunts in a row without seeing a deer, my personel worst. This late weather hunting in NE Ohio is rough going ill tell ya. I have today and tommorow to put a deer down, and im going to resort to some "different" tactics to get it done here. A few small deer drives should do the trick.

Went ona few deer drives with my brother today, i saw 4 does, he saw 2. At least i broke my streak [:@].

Well boys, thats the end of the year. Thanks for being such a great team, and i know ive made plenty of good HNI buddies for the years to come! This was the first time ive been captain for the bowhunting contest, and even though i didnt score and we didnt win i feel it was a great time and a success. I look to seeing all of you next year for the contest!
