Still hunting here,.... Lots of Does, too many.....still seeing some of the smaller bucks. Had a really neat experience with what has to be the largest covey of quail i have ever seen, nearly 40 birds, i was ground hunting and set up in some weeds , all of the quail came walking thru at the most 12' away. kept telling myself, dont move!, must have taking them 10 minutes to clear the area,,then along comes 2 Rooster Pheasants and a hen.,....just after sundown out walks a 100" 8 pointer, he was within 30 yards eating some soybeans, it was great, he was very vocal and kept making alot of noises. kinda hard to describe, i waited till dark then walked out. keep up the hunting guys! i know i will! best of luck to you all!

Well, i put down the bow Saturday and picked up the Muzzleloader and took my 7 year old to the woods. Came back with some venison, a 125 lb doe. Now, its back to the bow until I take him again!!

I went out for a quick hunt last night. Heard some turkeys fly up to roost and thats about it. I did see 3 unknown deer on the walk out in a field. I went to my local pro shop today and cranked my bow all the way up (60 lbs) and bought some 2 blade RAGE broadheads. ;):D

I wont be getting back out until Friday night....

37 deer on20 hunts, 13 does, 13 fawns, 4 bucks and7 unknown.

Hey guys just checkin in. No luck here yet i went to Ohio last week only saw two deer they were both small bucks i let em walk. Havent been bowhunting since i took my daughter muzzeloader huntin last weekend but now that is over i will be bowhunting alot here in the upcoming weeks. I CANT WAIT FOR NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!! Bring on theRUT baby!

Went out tonight a bit before my fire department meeting. Saw 2 does and 2 fawns and about 30 turkeys. Nothing in range though.

Whats up fellow Team 25ers? Haven't been on for a while, actually haven't done a lot of hunting lately. School is kickin my butt but this weekend and next week looks awfully promising:). I figured out how to post pics so I'll put up Lefty and The Dark Knight so you guys will know what they look like. Also- if I have time before class runs out[&:] I'll post some others haha.

I went out tonight in the rain and wind, had a blast, but didnt see alot of deer. Saw a spike on my way in and got within 15 feet or so, then i jumped an unknown deer right by my stand. After that i didnt see a thing. Ill be going out tomorrow night for sure.

Well boys, i just got from the best hunt i have ever had. I didn't shoot anything, but it was by far the best hunt i have ever had. I got into my stand around 4:45. After a few minutes a couple really nice does came out at the far end of the hay field i was perched next to. They browsed for awhile and eventually went back into the woods. A couple minutes after that, i had 2 button bucks come into the field. They were a little closer (100 yards) then the does. They browsed away and eventually went behind some trees. Ihit myrattling antlers and the bleat call and my grunt call to see if i could attract anything. About 20 minutes later i hear movement and a TINY fawn and her mom come out into the field at about 30 yards. They are behind a tree with vines hanging off it though so i cant get a shot at mommy. The fawn spots me but keeps feeding out in front of me. She is in the open at about 15 yards this whole time. I videotape her the best i can, and i kept checking momma doe to see if she would come my way. Well she starts walking in my direction and i start getting excited. I glance up into the field to make sure i wont get spotted when i draw and i see the body of a deer on the edge of the field about to go into the woods. I pull up my binos real slowly and nearly crap my pants. This is what was watching momma and her fawn:






I almost fell out of my treestand. He wasted no time in coming out to the field to check the does. When he got close to momma, she bolted for the woods with him on her tail. They made a circle and came back out into the field. Where he started grunting and pawing a scrape. He then checked the does again and started walking out into the open field. After a bit he chased the momma doe again, and this time she went into the woods at the far side of the field, i hit grunt call just in time to stop him from going in. He turned around and started walking into the middle of the field. He browsed and checked does for about 20 minutes, until one of the does got nervous and took off. The rest of the deer followed her out of the field single file. After that i rattled and grunted again and called in a spike. On the way out i saw 3 unknown deer in another field. Also, i got this ALL ON VIDEO!!

This is the same buck my buddy got pictures of in August, and he has what i believe are 17 points. I'm gonna edit the video and hopefully get parts of it up later tonight or tomorrow.
