Well guys I didn't get out this weekend but last night I seen a monster right by my house I would guess he would easily go 150. I need to get permission to hunt the 200 next to my place.

Nice deer HHU.........

Well guys there is no easy way to tell you guys this...I blew it big time..last night I stuck a 140" class deer, found 2 pieces of my arrow, seemed to be about 3/4 penetration, red blood on the arrow and Blazer vanes, but hardley any blood on the ground whatsoever. We found a little at dark but then couldn't find any more, so we just left and came back this morning and looked again, we finally found some more blood about 300 yards away from the last blood, but it was only 5-6 little drops, coudn't see any blood up high on weeds or tree limbs at all, I don't have a clue where I even hit the deer, I never seen my arrow after hitting my release. Upon impact he sprinted 100 mph crashing through everything, by all indications, I thought he was hit good. I have never seen a deer run so fast in my life, no bouncing at all, and his tail was tucked. Me and my Dad looked for 2 hours last night and 5 this morning. With no blood to flow, it makes it all most impossible. I am sick to my stomach, I don't even feel like bowhunting for awhile, this is 2 years in a row that I hitP&Y deer and put bad hits on both of them. Last year at least, I know he survived, I hit him square in the shoulder joint and only got 2 inches of penetration, this year however, I have no idea. And it wasn't like it was a hard shot, he was 25 yards slightly quartering away from me. I am doing something terribly wrong during my form, release, follow through, or all of the above. I don't even know where to begin. Sorry guys.

Don't beat your self up over it Solo and stick with it just go out a practice alittle more if you feel like you've lost confidence.

I went over to the neigbors and asked him for permission to hunt his land he politely said no. Maybe I'll set up on my 8 I have 3 does that hang out around my property so maybe he'll come over when is is feeling like some tail????

Dennis~~ Man that sucks, I feel for ya buddy!! I know it can be frustrating but you cant let it keep ya down! I know your not a rookie at this but maybe you need to go out in the yard and practice with all your gear on?!? I know if I wear a certain pair of gloves I have I will hit about a half inch low EVERYtime???? Dont know why, but it happens?? Also if you are using your lip as an anchor maybe your not feeling it correctly with your facemask on?!?

Dont give up buddy get back out there and get it done!! I got faith in ya!! Good Luck!!
