Thanks guys... here are the other bucks taken by 2 of my buddies. 3 of us scored out of 4. We were all muzzleloader hunting. The other guy had his bow. He had some great encounters, but just didn't see the deer he wanted...

I agree... I was talking about buying land out there in the past, and now I am in a position to possibly move forward with it. I have plans to speak w/ the president of the hunting club at some possible partnerships.... we'll see.

i saw a great big buck this morning before shooting light. i was going to shoot him but i couldn't see him through the scope because there wasn't enough light. i was hoping he would've stuck around for 5 more minutes when it gotalittle lighter but he took off right away. i hope hes there again tomorrow

he looked like a 10 pointer and appeared to be atleast 19 inches wide. his horns were passed his ears. he might of went 130-135.

This has been the worst year ever for me. I've only had 1 deer in range and it was a doe in early bow season. Got her. I usually see tons of deer. Lucky if ive seen 20. 10 of those were last weekend about 300 yards from me. We found a skull 2 weekends ago that was a 7 pointer with some velvet on it. I talked to a person that has some land next to us and on the good side we got about another 300 acres to hunt on. On a bad note he found 2 real nice bucks dead also. I'm assuming EHD got us in our area this year. It was all around us last year but it didn't seem to affect us for some reason. This year is a different story though. Has anyone had any luck this year? Looks like its gonna be a bust for me. Muzzerloader season opens next weekend but I haven't shot one of mu muzzy in 10 years. Idont even know where everything for it is.

this whole gun season i saw a total of 15 deer. usually i see about 50 deer the whole gun season. muzzleloader season opened today so i might try to get out sometime this week after school and try to put on on the ground. we have a holiday hunt over christmas im going to go out too.

Saw nothing opening day of shotgun here in MA... very slow... covered alot of ground. Not even a flag... heard very few shots too.

i wonder where all the freaking deer are. i called the wisconsin dnr yesterday and asked them whats going on and they told me theres plenty of deer its just that no one wants to hunt them:eek:i think the dnr have alot of explaining to do

I've killed the 8 pointer and 1 doe with a gun. Next week I'm headed to Nebraska for ML season. Hopefully I'll get a shot at the buck I missed with my bow in October.

I think I'm still within the rules.

Only went out for the gun opener this past Monday.. nothing... Still kindof under the weather from this chest cold... kicking my butt. I may try to sneak out tomorrow AM for a sit... but then we will give it hell dark to dark Saturday...
