went out dark to dark yesterday... buddy shot twice and missed a couple of does. I hit a coyote... (i think i took out a hind leg). Other buddy missed coyote. Don't matter to me, as long as it dies...

-5 here this AM...
can't hunt again until Wed PM...
C'mon guys... 1 more good buck could put us on top!
a few does wouldn't hurt either... If I don't put a slick head down by year end we (I) have a problem.

Have a heard of deer located... at least a dozen together... has to be a buck in the bunch... I'm going on a recon mission this afternoon. Deer are coming out intoa posted field... bedding in non posted woods.. need to work my way around into non posted territory and take care of business. I have a doe tag for this zone as well.
We'll see what happens... been raining all night and morning... calling for the temp to drop and some snow tonight... they should be up and moving...

Well my gun season is over in PA she skunked me again.

Sorry team. I still dohave a few days left during flintlock. Now I am new to that game (flintlock)so I will not count my eggs so to speak. I do have a good spot where I know I will at least see some doe hope a big boy made it through and is hanging with the ladies.

Now if I can find a place to hunt on Long Island I can add the month of January to my season. Weekdays only though.

Good luck to those of you still hunting.

Paul

MA shotgun is over now... nothing.... muzzleloader runs to the 31st... still have high hopes of at least putting a slick head down for some extra points.

I missed a doe this afternoon w/ the MZ... about 70 yards in some stuff... I thought I hit her good... she ran away w/ tail down when the smoke cleared...
no blood... no hair... i just whiffed!

If her tail was down you probably hit her. I killed 2 doe this year with my ml and there was no blood trail. I knew they were hit because of their tails being down. They only went about 35 yards. You might want to recheck.

we took the track about 200 yards... no blood, no hair, no beds, etc... lots of fresh snow, so something would have shown.. stick sick.. at least it wasn't a racker!
Her tail was down though....
