I have hunted the past 2 afternoons with not much luck. Didn't see anything last night and today saw a single doe throught my entire hunt. Showed up at 4:45 and was there 100 yards away when I climbed down.

Almost got a shot at her, but she only offered a 41 yard shot which is in my range, but there was some brush and I didn't want to try my luck.

Saw a big 10 pointer feeding in a biologic field while driving out, so I am going to set up there tomorrow with a ground blind. Have always had good luck with this scenario in the past so heres to hoping I get some meat put away and maybe even some points on the board.

This one I hunt last night not a bad spot, alphafa in the front, a pond at 50yds, corn and alphafa behind. Passed on a Doe right under me in the corn, and had to talk a raccoon out of getting in the stand with me.

This one I hunted yesterday morning, this is really a rut spot, pinch in a travel corridor between bedding and corn. But wind speed was so high had to get a little low.

The thick stuff dropping down to the bottom of the valley with a wash in there that creates a pinch with me at the top.

I had my chance at a doe over the biologic field this afternoon. At 5 2 does came out and started feeding towards me. I ranged the closest doe at 30 yards and released my arrow. About halfway there my arrow hit a little branch coming off a pine tree next to me and sent my arrow harmlessly 2 feet over the does back.

No sign of the big 10 that was in there last night.

Going back to the same stand that I saw the 130 class 8 point a week ago. This time I will have a doe decoy set up hoping just get something curious enough to come within 50 yards.

If a baldie comes feeding throughthe field howevershe will definantly be gettingmy Montec headed her way.
