2 1/2 weeks left here. Dont get too excited yet guys, I always use the month of sept to see whats movign where and whats all out there. Over the weekend I decided to hang a stand where we have never hung one before but It looks very very promising as it always has with out a stand there. Runways look like a heard of 400 cattle went through. Of course its one of the main run ways that feed down to the river.

Hey Ryan - if you would have came out here for the Iowa Corn 250 you would not have gotten wet... may not have made it to the track like a whole bunch of people (they just were not ready for the traffic and some never made it in the gates).

So what all did you get a cabelas?

This weekend is my last push to get things done before October. I have a ladder left to set-up and cut lanes for. Need to spread fertilizer on the food plots now that we finally got rain, and I'm thinking about pulling the cameras until October comes. Curiosity will probably get the best of me and I'll leave at least 1 out though. We'll see. After this weekend, I'll spend my weekend driving a tractor and hauling grain for the next month until bow season starts.

What's up fellas? Looks like it's gonna be a great weekend to get out there and hang a couple more stands and trim some lanes. Might even take the .22 out and get me a couple squirrels. With less than a month away from opening day gota make sure everything is ready. Does anyones season start tomorrow on our team? If so, good luck and hope everyone has a great weekend!

2 more weeks for me, and then its doe only. Bucks in 4 weeks. I'll probably take a ride around at some point this weekend. Too close to the season for me to go in on foot. Those doe only weeks I'll most likely explore newer areas or hunt really small suburb stuff, well cause that's about all I have in the area that's early doe.

Huddle up Team 42, lets get down to some business and talk a little about our goals. It's known that most people are much more successful with some well defined goals to focus on so lets take roll call and see what everyones team and personal goals are for this upcoming season.
I'll put everyones names in and start off. If you want to participate, add whatever you want.

[ul][*]Team Goal: Don't get anxious in the early season and hold out for a mature buck. I'll take serious second looks at anything "outside the ears" and hope for something in the 130+ class.[*]Personal Goal: In addition to above, I want to take at least 6 does with my bow. More is better and can be donated to friends or charity, but I personally want 6 for my freezer. Once the team buck has been taken, I'll look for another nice buck, but will then be willing to take out a "cull buck" if the opportunity is there.[*]Season opens 15 September.
