Ryan, i agree, you dont look good at all, you look pale, you need some sunlight, get out there and smoke one!

I have been hitting it hard, hunting ever day the last 10 days. Saw a nice shooter 8 last night but wouldnt come closer than 40 yards in some thick brush. Going out this afternoon again to the honey hole, maybe ill get lucky.

Well guys hunting is coming down to the wire. Gun season opens 25 Nov and the crazy shoot at anything people get in the woods. So I broke down and decided it is time to usemy climber that I bought a month ago. There is a certain area of the property I try to avoid so the deer have a safe haven other than thier bedding area. Last 4 evenings I have sat in the car glassing the fields and have seen what I guess to be a upper 110 to lower 120 buck and a upper 100 class buck. I have also seen atleast half a dozen 50-60 to 90 class bucks moving in and out of the area. So the plan is Tomm. afternoon if the wind is right I am going to try to sneak in the edge and see what happens.

Dave, best of luck to you, see if you cant find a scrape to set up on and try some estrus scent. Im sure you will see a good one.

first off I went out this evening and Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Darn that was a little cold. Guess the older I get the worse it feels. Tonight I had 4 does come by at around 430pm. Approx 10 minutes after them a basket 8 came through.I guestimated him as a 100 class deer. I also had a forker and a 6 pt pass by all within shooting range. Going to let that spot cool down until saturday. Will try some other spots I have picked out.

Well guys, i hunted last night and this morning in PERFECT conditions with not a single deer sighting. Not sure if the bucks have the does locked down or what. I would have bet my house that i would have atleast seen a deer. What gives?

Just walked in the door from a morning hunt. Went to my alternate stand which I have not hunted in 2 weeks. Saw 3 does of which 2 were being harrassed by a 6 pt. and the other by a forker. That all took place around 7am. At approx 745 I had a small spike buck walk by and about 5 minutes later that same 8 pt. I saw the other day walk by. Both bucks had thier noses to the ground. Walking out of the woods down an old logging trail around 1030 or so another forker stepped out onto the logging trail 15 yards in front of me. Deer looked thru me like I wasnt even there. Seeing lots of small bucks other than that 8 pointer. On a side note coming home lastnight around 5pm I did see a real nice 10 pt. dogging a doe in the field next to the house.

My Son and myself will be hitting it hard all weekend, Goodluck to the rest of you.

11 bucks and 17 doe sightings in last 2 days. 1 morning hunt and 2 evening hunts. Heading out again in the climber. The deer are really moving alot now !!!

My season is over:(
And I did not score this year. I had a decent day today, seeing 8 different bucks and one shooter locked on a doe that never came in range. Seen him twice. After he disappeared from the 1st encounter, I went and set up where I thought the doe would want to go for the evening. I was sorta right, I set up in the woods, they came thru the field. I gave a snort whezze and he actually started coming in, but it got too dark with him still needing to close another 50 yds.

I have a few more ohio hunts to get in, nad I'll have my bow during PA's gun season and our late archery, but for me to score during them would take nothing short of a miracle.

Thats cool Rybo, you held out for a certain deer and to me that is what huntng is all about. Right now I am seeing deer just not the buck I want. I am having a lot offunhunting with my son and listening to his stories. Heading out to the woods now.
