Thanks fellas! It looks as if it's gonna miss this area byseveral hundred miles.[&:] Oh well, I'm all prepared if another storm threatens or if Dean decides to make a hard right at the last minute. I'm pretty sure I'll get to work on my little plot now since I'll have a few days off. I'll check back Thursday sometime and maybe tomorrow morning if I get a chance.

Shoot Straight,
Waid

My setup is:
Mathews FX
29' draw @ 72#
Blackhawk Vapor 5000's (Blazed)
100 gr SlickTrick Mags
approx 270 fps

Just got in from practing. 4" groups at 40 yards. I'm shooting out to 85 and hitting 8" groups there. I'm feeling frisky. Anyway, I'm ready...

Too bad I've got to wait another month till I can go to GA. Then another month before AL opens up.

How much longer till everyone else's season opens up?

Well I got my new Moultrie I40 and put it out yesterday. We'll see what I'll have a shot at this year. I had some good pics from last season but never got a clear shot at any of them. A couple of them needed to grow up another year or two anyway. Duck hunting took a lot of my time. I ended up taking 2 nice mature does for the freezer but I already ran out of meat in July[:@]. I have a problem with the buck to doe ratio being at about 1 to 5 or 6 so I'm trying to correct it. Can't wait for Oct 1st.
Glad to hear Texas should be OK from the huricane. Hope everyone has a safe and sucessful hunting season. I'm still waiting for my daughter to help with the trail cam pics from last year. Maybe tonight I'll ab able to list them.

My season starts September 15th. I live in an urban deer zone and we get to start a little earlier than the rest of the state. But I am not going to shoot one unless it is huge because it is still really hot during this time. Am I starting the earliest on the team? Or is their anyone else that is starting earlier? Oh and someone asked what everyone is shooting? I shoot a Martin Tracer, it is about four years old. Its shoots right at 300 fps and this year I am trying out the Rage 2-blade. What is everyone else using?

OK. Lets see if I can get these pics from last years trail cam up. This camera is in my front yard. These are all different bucks. The reflections in the background are my daughters marker lights on her parked car.
