Planning to head out and check my trail cameras this weekend and hang a couple more stands. Can't wait to see if I got anything new on film

Anyone know when they assign alternates? Noticed we are still one short...

Quick,
I'm not sure how the deer hunting is going to be, but dang the frog population is STRONG!! I think I saw a couple that might go P&Y[8D]

I'm sure youwere quite a bit cooler today than we were. 90 degrees and about 10 miles of walking make for a rough day. We covered some ground and gotto see a good bit of woods.

Well I am still in NM at the airport waiting and drinking. My nieghbor tells me it's been raining all week and the cameras got a bit water logged. He could only make out a couple of deer.
It's 2 1/2 weeks until I leave for CO, I hope I see more Elk there than I did here. I only saw 1 Elk, 1 Deer, and 1 Snake. Good thing it wasn't a rattler (I hate snakes). I'll check in later. Post some trail cam pics you guy's are getting.

Rybo - hot enough for ya out there yesterday? I about sweated 50 pounds off getting those wedding photos taken... At least the reception hall was air-conditioned. So did the areas out there look pretty decent or what? I'm looking for a P&Y swamp frog. LOL We'll get down there again sometime this month - cover some more ground. We'll wait for it to cool off a bit. I did a golf outing on Friday and almost died of a heat stroke. I've never wanted a round of golf to end before - until Friday. I couldn't get off that course fast enough.

Went outtoday to pick up the 75gr. Muzzy's and set up for hunting season - Gander Mountain sold out, so I opted for the 85gr. G5 Montec's instead.

Wow - these broadheads rock. The first shot buried almost to up to the fletchings in my block, dead in the bullseye. Flew like a dart - hit the same spot as a field tip - even out to 45 yds. You guys know that I'm shooting a pretty light, pretty fast arrow - and some of the"experts"have voiced "concerns" about me being able to get a broadhead to fly at those speeds, so I couldn't be happier. Apparently, I was concerned over nothing... I love being right. LOL

All I know is that these stupid block targetsjust aren't built to handle the kind of KE that these new bows are putting out. Brand new block, broadheads practically blowing right through it.

130 - how was the trip? Have a good time?

Went out this Saturday and adjusted some of my stands and hung a new one. Also checked my trail camera’s. Got a lot of pics, but mostly young deer. Still haven’t seen much of the big boys, but I moved one of the camera’s just a few yards away capturing a different trail, I’ll see if that makes a difference.
