I noticed that your ground blind has the shoot through netting. How is that working for you? What broadheads do you shoot? I've been shooting Grim Reapers, but they open up in the net. My bow is shooting too good to mess with this late in the pre-season by switching broadheads. I got a new Double-Bull for my birthday and will more than likely try it out during the first part of the season, especially if we havn't had any rain. Will hunt ponds as long as its dry. But I will just brush in the windows instead of use the net.

Nice deer guys! - sorry for the delay. Iowa opens October 1. Was out last weekend - no pears on the pear tree or apples on the apple trees. Will have to take a look at the oaks did not pay much attention to them since we were short on time.

I have tons of problems posting pics! - will try to do some resizing and see if I can get some posted.

Getting quite a bit of rain - they are getting pounded hard north of here though. Will try to put in a couple of late plots - did one last year and it realy worked well but that is based more theweather.

Before I got the blind I was using a mechanical broadhead, then when I got the blind I had to switch to fixedblade if I wanted to shoot through the mesh. I switched to NAP Crossfire. As far as if it effects speed, I can tell you for sure. I would imaginn it would slow it down a bit but it seemed to still hit the target fairly accurately. It does leave pretty good holes in the mesh also on mine. But for the most part I try to remove the mesh in the window I think will be most likely to present my deer.

hey guys, i am new to the forum but, am looking forward to this years season as always. I have been hunting for around 10 years now and bowhunting for around 4 years. Hunting is an obsession for me just as it is for some of the rest of you. Hope to help our team out as much as i can. I hunt here in northwestern NC near mayberry (home town of Andy Griffith) on private land that is worked especially for deer hunting. I definitly don't consider myself an expert hunter so i am looking foward to learning from you guys and sharring war stories. good luck team!

Wow. Glad I'm not the ONLY one having techno issues. One week from tomorrow and I'll be sitting in a tree at this time and wont think once about a computer.

Although, I am glad to use it for the purposes of this site. Have a good weekend. Get all those loose ends tied up. It's Killin' Time.

yeah, i went to fill some feeders today and when i was driving accross the field i spooked a couple of turkeys feeding. After filling my feeders i took a look around the woods and found 3 piles of deer crap and one rub. I was very pleased to see the abundance of wildlife in my honey hole. Still haven't caught of with the rest of the world yet and got some game cams but, hopefully in due time i will be able to get you guys some picks with my hands around a wall hanger. Opening day is Sept. 8th
