Are you all ready or what? Our season comes in here in MN on Sep 16. Man am i ready, been out watching 3 different bucks. The biggest in the 130's. The other 2 in the 120ish area.

Hi guys,

I'm from south eastern PA and will be hunting in Berks county this season, not sure if any of you are familiar with that area. I will mostly be hunting a patch of private land that is about 20 acres. It's next to a landfill that is several hundred acres where hunting is prohibited. There is a lot of deer in the area and there is always some nice shooters in that little patch of woods. I won't shoot anything less than an 8, I'll shoot a doe before I shoot a little 6. Pretty excited about the upcoming season, I've been shooting quite a bit, can't wait for the weather to start getting cooler. Today was a scorcher here in PA and just last week it was starting to fell like the first hint of fall. Sorry to bump my fellow PA hunter, maybe Rob will put you back on. [X(]

Here in beautiful northwestern Canada. No bears yet......bait was hit so that's a good sign. Im sitting in my tahoe by the boat dock at the camp so I can use my lap top. This is the only place I can get service. More later, hubby is getting a little restless.

No offense, but you guys aren't serious about our team's logo as a pregnant archer are you? Just wondered as I saw Cay. asking elkslayer to whip up a logo of a pregnant archer. Not that I am sexist, but I just can't see myself as a pregnant archer:D

I too personally don't have a problem with mom's to be in archery/bowhunting, but think that a bowhunting avatar is more acceptable as the "right to life" and bowhunting go opposite directions...hehehehehehehe

I still think the image of Wensel, pregnant with a beard is hilarious!

Suggestion: Image close up, over the shoulder of nocked arrow on string, full view of arrow w/broadhead would work.

For an update, Elk is working on a logo for us that does not involve a pregnant chick:D

I've been so busy I am far behind this year. Between that and the heat I don't even have a stand hung yet. Hopefully later this week some stands hung. I already have my spots picked out.

Hi guys....I'm back...No bears. Did not even see one!!

One of the guys in our camp was from Iowa and he got a 400 pounder with his recurve.....shot it through the neck by accident and hit the jugular vein.
Lucky Ass....We will probably go back next year though.

Any way, good to be home. Deer season opens in 12 days and we still have a lot to do. Our farm is 3 1/2 hours away and we both work here in the city. It should be a little hecktick for the next few months.

The guys that farm for us will need to cut a little corn before we can get to some of our spots and we just decided to hunt another 200 acres that we have not hunted before. Still need to put stands up around that field somewhere.

Sounds good Caleb! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Opener is just around the corner for us. I'll be hanging a stand or two for the early season this or next weekend.

I don't usually get to turned on until mid Oct. We're getting a new hunting camp set up and it should be ready for the 5th wheel by mid Oct hopefully. Building a cabin on the property next spring. Wayne National will virtually be out the back door. My close friend purchased 9 acres which is landlocked on three sides by the Wayne. This should be a great season!
