I videotaped a damn nice 9 point tonight guys....but i cant shoot another deer in my county [:@]thats what down south is for ;)As for my button buck, i thought it was a doe and i dropped it at 70 yards on a deer drive. When i walked up to it i found that he had been shot through the face sometime the day before and was still alive! This buck was one tough little bugger but hes gone now and its prolly a good thing i shot him but i will admit that i didnt know he was shot before i dropped him.

Sorry guys, i havnt been here much cause i havnt been able to bow hunt since i shot my button buck. But dont worry, im going down to Guernsey county next sunday to do some bowhunting. I have been helping my little brothers all gun week and they havnt got anything yet, but they sure are trying!

That cause you No. Dak natives are just a bunch of Sallies! Hey Tim a kid from town came out by you gun hunting this year and shot a 160" buck in the Pembina*sp gorge.

That is a little NE of me. Good area for big bucks from what I have always heard. Never hunted in that area.

Thats a great buck Trad!

As for me, scored on another doe yesterday, so many does on a certain property it won't hurt the herd at all. Still have a good part of the season left, if I can only find a buck I want to shoot.

CM - I have about 6 weeks left of the season. I still need to tag another doe or two. Congratulations on yours!!

TJ - they're huntin'! Shotgun season is over here in Ohio. Gonna' give the deer some time to settle down then back at it...like this weekend. I figure 5 or 6 days is enough time...well for me anyway!

Just checking in to see how its going. I probably wont be able to score a buck this year unless i can get down to southern ohio in the next month, i tried my best guys, it just wasnt my year. I only drew back on 2 deer and they were both does, i saw plenty of small bucks early but since its a 1 buck only state i let them walk which i regret now, but hindsight is 20/20. I still ended the season with a doe and a button buck though so i filled the freezer. Good luck to the rest of you...its been a fun contest and hopefully we can add a few late season bucks to increase our score!
