Went out this past weekend and hung the last stand. Found a real nice cedar tree on the woods/field edge. Then I remembered, last weekend when I put the camera up....I forgot to turn on the actual camera. (My camera has two switches, one for the unit and one for the camera). Well I forgot to turn the camera on. In a couple days, I 'would have' had 10 pictures. I was fairly happy since I didn't plan on hunting that spot until the rut as it will be a good bottleneck for cruising bucks, and probably not the greatest early season. Everything is pretty much set to roll, now I just have to wait until October 1st.

I moved a stand over the weekend. Found a spot in my woods where the deer are coming in to my pond, so hopefully that will be a good spot in the early part of bow season. I need to start shooting my bow again. I was shooting alot a few weeks ago and stopped when the 100 degree weather moved in.[:'(]I'm dialed in and ready for October 1st, seems like its never going to get here.

Setting up my camera back-up in NY this coming weekend. During the winter there were lots of tracks in the snow and its a well traveled trail. We set up my tree stand about a month ago. That season starts 10/13, it will never get here.....

I will probably set up my PA stand within the next week as we can start bowhunting here 9/15, those trails are well traveled too, I see deer there all the time when I am out riding.

I haven't even thought of a deer in awhile, I got geese on my mind! Every morning and every evening hitting the fields. We got 8 on the 1st and 7 on the 2nd. Not to bad but we should have done better. Geese got real skiddish real fast which sucks but makes it more challenging. These birds will get a break when the 15th roles around though. Were going to try and make some burgers out of these guys. Let ya know tommorow night how they taste.

Heres a pic from the 2nd. Im in the middle.

Heres a pic from one of the fields.

I forgot to share some other pics I had. My uncle, his dad, and me went up north to meet their bear guide and run some of his dogs with him. We are leaving this saturday to hunt (they both have kill tags, I'm just filming). We ended up seeing 3 bears within a matter of an hour. The other pics are of this cool bar/grill that we usually go to during deer hunting. Full of mounts and tons of sheds. All the mounts and sheds are from the area. I'll post each pic in a seperate post so it doesn't get so big (didn't resize the pics).

This is one we treed.

Thought this was cool. Hound in action.
