Well I saw my first deer on stand last night. It stinks that I'm still on does only in both states, but that's all I saw. I took a crack at a doe that was out a ways and shot under her. I ranged a log that she moved in front of at 40 and held a little low with my 40 pin. When I ranged it again after the shot it came up 42, 43, 42. SoI guess I held right for the wrong distance.

MH, good luck in that new stand. I'll be trying to get my NJ doe this week so I can chase some horn. I also got verfiication for permission on some more private land so I'll be scouting that out as well.

Shawn double lunged this doe and she crashed in the middle of the field. A good confidence builder for opening day!



I hunted this morning and didnt have any luck...not sure where that big guys is going in the mornings, but hopefully we can catch up with him soon!

Looks like a good sized doe there, Congrats. I thought I was gonna score on one this morning. But they just didn't wanna cross my shooting lane. Something had them spooked.
