I just re-read my post and I wanted to let Buck Magnet know I was in no way trying to imply that he should have waited for a bigger buck.

Buck, you have been on this board for a long time so I know you remember the buck I killed two years ago. It too had a weird growing antler, it had one beam rotated all the way into his nose. I wanted to try for a bigger buck but felt I had to kill that one. I figured he would suffer from his antler. I had a choice to make then too, let it walk and look for a bigger one for my team or take it out and that's what I did.

As it turned out the antler was pushing into the skin and a red puss filled infection had started just under the hair. I suspect it would have indeed been bothersome to say the least.

While we both made our decisions for different reasons I have no problem with yours and you have helped this team out...probably more than I will end up doing.

Well done bud!!!

Here is a pic of that small 8-point with the weird antler I was talking about.

I didn't take it that way at all. I could have waited for a bigger buck, but I more than likely would have ended up passing on a bunch of bucks that were bigger than the one I shot, and in the end I would still have that guy running around in the gene pool. This has been a weird year for me, my normal hunting grounds havn't really shown me much as far as big bucks go. Last year I could have easily said that my honey hole property had atleast 3 to 4 P&Y bucks on it, but this year I didn't see one. Heck, I didn't even get a picture of a buck that I think would break the 110" mark. I have seen alot of pop shots taken about my buck on the board from other guys but it doesn't bug me at all, I would rather shoot a buck with bad genes off my property than shoot a bigger one which has the potential to turn into something special. I am happy with my decision and with my buck, the meat tastes good, and thats all that matters to me

Good luck to all of you guys that are still out hunting. I will be out Saturday with my fiance trying to get her a deer, I will be packing my camera so hopefully I can get some neat photos while she is trying to put a buck down.

Ooops, wanted to add this picture for you guys to check out, here is my buck as of last fall when I originally saw him. I was looking through my game cam photos and realized that I did have a pic of him from last year.

Mike the site looks great and I'm really interested in one of those hands free cameras. Now I just have to convince the wife.

I do have one question, the bow arm is listed as $775.00. Is that a typo? That seems steep for a bow arm.

Great site, I can't wait for the video.

Its not a bow arm its a camera tree stabilization system.

I watched the video, awesome. Are you putting together a DVD of the deer videos though? Also, the stabilization system's quality is shown in your video, but wow, that's expensive.

Yes, we will have a DVD for deer after all the episodes air i believe..

The tree arm is very expensive but its not a consumer model. Its made for anywhere from a canon GL2 to the huge Sony produciton companies.

We hope to come out with a much more affordable consumer model of the tree arm. Not sure if you watched the video on it, but its a really big arm. Wouldnt be too practical for little sony handycams or other consumer camcorders

Yeah, that'd be a little much for my Handycam. It would be like using a Mack to tow my son's wagon. No doubt of the quality of the materials or construction though.
