Well guys went out this morning and saw 2 bucks, don't really know how big they were because i forgot my binocs - that sucked, I could see the frames of there racks but that was about it. I'm gonna give it another try tonight and see how things go, I would really like to get an opportunity at a doe and see how those 2 blade rages perform. Good luck tomorrow TX hopefully you have better opening day luck than the rest of us that have started. Ym sorry you have to wait until Monday... that is odd ... Do your seasons always open on Mondays?

Iowa is the same. Bow season always starts Oct 1 so really its pretty simple.

Well not much luck over the weekend. I saw 2 does Saturday morning that never got closer than 70 yards. Saturday night, with temps in the low 90s,[:@], I shot a feral hog. I couldn't get pics to load. I have no idea why not. The screen kept saying something about not being able to save the file to disk. It downloaded to my home computer just fine. Oh well.
Anyway, I didn't see a thing Sunday morning and stayed home last night. Temps were in the 90s again and it looks like they will stay there until at least next weekend. I won't hunt again until Saturday morning. I had planned a few evening trips this week but won't go with these ridiculous temps.

Go Yooper! Hope you have a good one today.

Good job TX on the hog. I want to do some hog hunting during the offseason but they aren't in our state (except on Federal land on the coast and that's in season hunting only, no bows). Temps are climbing here this week too. Supposed to be in the mid 80's opening day. [:'(]

Well day 1 is in the books. No kills, got some footage of a 170 class buck though from about 15 yards. We were hunting a friends ground and just shooting does. Overall had a good hunt though, pretty warm and buggy, but at least got the wrinkles ironed out. I bought a small camera on Sun night so I will be filming all of my hunts as well as filming for some other folks so hopefully I can lay down some decent footage. Going to go out tomorrow evening, hopefully see some bucks. Then its Fri, Sat, Sun for more hunting. Nice job on the bacon TX, I missed on a yote last night, he was walking and I zipped it right under his armpit. Good luck everyone!

My god, failry certain I would have a better chance of blinding a buck like that with a handful of the **** that would be in my pants than actually shooting it.
