hey guys once we get everyone checked in we will decide on a team name and captain. I know mo bow will show up and childers hes on way to much not to but the middle three make me seem to think that we are going to have to get some alternates at the moment

We need some guys from Ill and the other larger Buck areas. I am hopefully going to be taking my first Bow Buck and just to let everyone know I will be holding out for at least 100". The good Lord willing.

If the past contests are any proof, we don't need a bag of PY bucks to win. Most of the teams that have won in the past, won with a bunch of dinks and one or two nice bucks. If we can put down at least 7 bucks, we will be right up there in the top 5 i promise you.

What is everyone shooting this year? What states will you all be hunting? Whats your biggest bow buck? What did you shoot last year. Fill me in fellas, i don't recognize many of your names other than Josh and Mo.

Still shooting my protec with spiral cams. just WV. 132" 10 point just does the past 2 years (in texas).

I will be shooting a 27.5" draw Parker Wildfire set at 57lbs. I will only be hunting in SC, but 4 different counties. Good Luck everyone. I wish the weather would cool off a bit. It is going to be tough Hunting in the heat the first part of the season.

shootin my ally this year. I got my eyes on a nice buck that should go about 130 this year and another 8 point that should go 100 in.

I'll be shootin my guardin this year. Im hoping to hold out for something at least 100'' or so, but with limited time to hunt- my itchy trigger figger may get the better of me again...Anyway, when does everyone's season start? Anybody have any ideas for a team name?

Pa, how short is your season? I have 2 counties that starts 8/15, 1 on 9/1, and 1 on 9/15. As for the name I am up for about anything. As for the Cap. Oneshot7 was the first to reply to the team Thread, so I vote for him.

Our early archery season starts Sept 29 and closes the second week of Novemeber. It comes back in the day after christmas and runs for a couple weeks. I just changed jobs, so i am not entirely sure if i can get any extra time off since i already scheduled my vacation time for my honeymoon in mid december. I will probably only get to hunt saturdays and maybe a few friday afternoons. I really wish PA had sunday hunting. Oneshot has got my vote for captain also. What do you guys do for a living?

I'll be hunting SE Ohio and season opens at the end of September. I hope to have a better season than last year. I missed a nice buck last year and that was my only opportunity for a shot. I'm hoping that this buck made it through from last year.

Here's a couple bowkills from years past. The first is from 2002 and the second is from 2005.



Right now I have a Tribute but I'm in the market for something with a longer ATA, perhaps an Allegiance or Old Glory. As for captain, I nominate Oneshot. He got the ball rolling here for us. I'll have to think about a name.

Hey Team #40

My season starts September 5th and ends Dec 5th,so I guess I should start scouting ,LMAO j/k just got 2 more seats to secure in place and I'm ready with 32 standson 5 seperate properties. Hopefully I can close the deal this year with out getting injured prior to the rut.I shoot a Bowtech Patriot and am pumped to hunt this year, Will be heading down south in Alberta to hunt some of those 200 class mulies for the second week of September and chasing Elk also,while scouting Antelope for next year. Have a full plate for myself and am willing to put in the time. Best of luck to us and I'm up for anyone as a team leader,I'll check in daily as always. Oh yeah I've been on holidays for the last 3 weeks and heck ,how are ya Josh man and also a big high 5 to my good freind Troy, alias Shed33

I'm here !!! I shoot an HCA Iron Mace. Probably better with the Iron Mace at 75 yds. than I am with my muzzle loader. I have at least 3 that are over 120". I am leaving for Colorado on the 5th of September. It's going to be an awesome year !!!!!!!! Good Luck to all !!!! My buck from 05

That's a great burden to have instead of having to find the extra clothing to stay warm. Temps here for the last few days have hit a high of +9 celcius with rain and cloudy. Here's a name that came to me for the team yesterday, Silent Entry with a picture of a montec broadhead, Nothing like the sound of a broadhead hitting dirt after a clean pass through. Should be fun getting to know each and everyone of you on thisteam, as I have in the past ,I get to meet and exchange great stories of past hunts and meet new comrades. Well I need to get out and exchange 3 seats on my last of my stands for the opener in 22 days Yahoo,it's within reach,dang where'd the summer go LMAO.

I like the name Team Silent Entry. I think I saw another team mention Silent Assassins or some thing like that.

As for the temps I would much rather have to deal with our heat then your cold. If the temp is much below 32 I stay in bed. Luckily I don't have to deal with that alot.

All I can say is shoot straight my friend, and best of luck:DHope you have a stand close to water,they do need the liquids as we do,they tend to drink 3 times a day where I'm from if it's available. After I was done with putting in my new seats on my stands today I pushed a good 140 5x5 not 40 yards from my stand that was bedded. So that's a good sign. Found this honey hole after the rut last year when scouting .Looks promising, you hunting the morning or evening SC ? About the members ,I wouldn't worry to much as of yet, they tend to trickle in by mid September,should be full by then . Be safe and make sure you have your safety belt packed, God Bless.

I will be out this afternoon. Have to work this morning. I have always been a afternoon hunter more then mornings. I will be out there Sun morning though. I went through everything last night and everything is ready so all I have to do is grab a couple of bags and my bow case and we are off. Thanks for the encouragement, I'm definitly ready to go. I will try and post later this evening with my results.

We are countin on you for a big ole' canadian brute. You got any pics of past kills. I can never get over the difference in body size compared to our deer. Canadian bucks look like horses next to a PA buck.

I won't shootanything less than a 150ish buck,Last yearI blew a 12 yard shot at the same size by using the 30 yard pin instead of the 20. Can't figure out why I went back to the 4 pin site,Ive always used a floating one pin site. Then I missed the rut due to a bad sprain. You know what, since I've become good freinds with Shed and some other guys from Huntingnet I've actually started to carry a camera specificly for a picture of the deer.Maybe that's the hex LMAO j/k[:@]My best buck is a 172 2/8 BTR buck 5x4 which I shot 7 years ago and have hadbucks that would make any man drool in close but have never had a shot that was to my likeing. Maybe just maybe it'll be this year ;)I love the name Silent Entry also and that is 3 so far for that name,just need someone to paste and copy a picure of a Montec Broad head to go with it.[8D]I'm terrible with graphics,maybe someone else could load it and set it up for the team. I would give it till mid September before worrying about a spare yet PA,most people don'y start till then, Talk to you soon

Man, a 170inch buck...thats pretty much unheard of around these parts. If there is one around it usually doesn't last long. My old man did get lucky and manage to stick one that grossed around 140 a few years ago. I've got a few pinned down in the 100-120'' range. I jumped one a few weekends ago while scouting that would probably go PY, he was a nice ten point...but I am a little worried i buggered him to bad-haven't seen him since.

Anyway, I wonder how SC did tonight...I saw the kid from SC (psebhunter16) scored on a decent 8. The pics are up in the bowhunting forum.

Well, I sweated my tail off. I was in the stand at 5:30 and it was hot. So then 3 hours later 6 does came in. They were only there a few min. One of the oldest does knew somethig wasn't right on that tree. Just glad to see deer. I will rearange the stand and get them another day. Will try my Foodplot tomorrow. I most definatly would have shot the buck the other guy took. Very good deer. Till Tomorrow

Well, Wish me luck guys I'm leaving to head back to the heat hoping for a chance at a big boy. I can't hunt tomorrow so after tonight I think I'm done with the 100 Degree hunting. I will pick and chose cool days to get out there. Planning on hunting on my Manning property Sat. night and Sun. morning, but there is more of a chance at a hog then a deer. Did we choose Oneshot7 as Capt? I also saw someone doing Avitars for the teams. Hope everyone is having a good day and I will check back tonight.

I saw a doe last night but, no bucks. I was in my Honey Hole and only seen the one doe. Better luck next time. Hope everyone is doing OK?
