That is one of the best hunting stories I have ever heard. Hands down.

forgot to add though story was taken from another forum here. Titled hunting and women or something like that. I wish that was my experience though.

well guys, tonight is the night I first get to hunt that land. I have no idea what to expect. with a low pressure system moving in and the chance for a storm, I hope that the deer will be moving. I'm getting in the mood by watching the WKP video. For the most part the next few hunts out there are going to be observation sits, just to get a feel for deer movement out there. I'll also be going out Thursday evening and Friday morning. Wish me luck

Good luck with the new hunting area. Hopefully a few nice ones will show up and you can arrow one and give us some much needed points.

I can't get the post reply button ironed into my head. I have been hitting the fast reply button for about a week and I think I have lost about 40 posts. I am going to go insane if I can't stop doing that.

Beagle, that sounds like a good plan. As long as you don't spook them, you've got a long time yet to get one so don't rush it and risk scaring them off. What ever happened to that drop tine monster you were seeing in the preseason? Go shoot him for Pete's sake!!!!

I saw ZERO deer tonight. so did my hunting partner.
I never saw a droptine buck, just a frickin monster that disappeared. I can't really hunt my home property during the week while Im at campus.
we found another place on that public land that is bordering soybean and corn fields, so maybe we'll move to that area.

I sure did forget how 90 degree weather can dull the excitement in the woods. I went out Monday night and saw a lone buck, small 6 or 8, right at dusk.

Decided not to go out and sit in the heat and suffer. As huntingson said, weve got a lot of time left this year. I hope the weather cools soon though.
