Jester, that is a nice buck brother!Congratulations!

I passed on a2.5 year old 10 point the other day andan2.5 year old 8-point the night before that.Iam hoping that the big boys will be showing up in a week or two. If not, I am sorry I am holding our score down. Sure am glad that you guys are doing so well for us!

Thanks guys... That's my first real buck. I've shot a few others over the last two years... but they were for practice and to fill the freezer. This one I actually sat, waited, and passed up the other smaller buck.

Hey... I'm learning. Let the little guys go and they might grow up to be nice buck in a year or two.

This old dog might not learn too many new tricks but he does hunt!!!

It looks like I need to get my butt in gear as well. I have a good feeling about this weekend though. It will be my first time out on stand/hunting all day. The wife is going to be gone so I can get away with it. Plus pheasant season is starting and all those hunters in the field should be pushing the deer around all day.

Well I Have some good news and some not so good news. Last night i went out and saw two really nice bucks, and although im done buck huntin with the bow im keepin my eyes open for gun hunting. anyway one buck was a 135-140 inch beautiful 8 point. the other was a nice 8 that was about 17 inch wide but lacked some length but with another year he would be a great buck. right now he scores(d) about 115. well the bigger buck came out and did a lil chasing, worked a scrape and was threatening the smaller 8. they got off the field and a big doe came out and i zapped her. She was 25 yards away and i dropped her, then finished her with a follow up shot.
that is all good news. the bad news is this morning on my way to work i saw a nice buck laying in the ditch right by my land. happens my neighbor hit the 115 inch 8 point with his van this morning. just when i think things are going real well that happens. im still very discouraged, but it is just a reality i have to face.
