Sweet! Nice job Berwindale! Lets keep that lead. I ran into some realy nice muleys on my antelope hunt but our season doesn't start until the 15th.

We didn't have much luck on the antelope. I came home with alot of cactus in my hand and knee though.

Thanks guys, there are alot of other bucks out here that are alot bigger than the one I killed, they were with him when I shot him, but I'd never gotten one in velvet before,so he was kind of special. I am from Pa. and have only been out here for two years. The difference in hunting quality is like night and day. I've never seen deer like this. If any of you are interested in hunting out here for deer or elk let me know, I'd do anything I could to help. I hope you guys get your bucks also.

Way to go Berwindale! A nice buck and in velvet too! There must be a story to go with him, how far, what happened?

Good work getting us on the board, now the rest of us need to follow suit.

Got another doe tonight fellas, I will post a photo tomorrow. I really had my doubts about these Sonic heads, as far as the cutting diameter was concerned. (7/8") but the doe I shot tonight from 30 yds went 125 yds after the shot with a broken shoulder blade and heart shot.

The story on the buck was that I was in my blind for about 3 hours, and actually had a doe peek in the window at me while I was getting a drink of water. I never even heard her come in. Well she snorted and cleared the field when she left. I waited abot 20 more minutes and the buck I killed came in with two others. I shot at him at 45 yds, hit him in the spine and down he went. My first velvet buck, and first opening day buck. (Archery)
