Luckybuck checking in. Sorry for the delay, I teach school and we have started and it is busy for now. I will be hunting thebottoms and hills of Mississippi. Hope to add some inches for the team. We canuse a bow in any season so I have from Sept. 30 through January. The rut in this area is sometimearound mid Dec. I hunt public land so it can be a challange. Saw a good one at the end of last year, so I hope to sneak in early on histurf before to many people get the same idea as me.Good luck to all.

Hello guys, good to hear from ya.
I will be shooting a Mathews Q2XL (65lbs), Nitro Stinger arrows, Muzzy 100gr, Trophy Ridge Drop Zone, with a single pin set to 17yds (Toxonics I believe). I really was thinking about getting a Switchback LD, but opted not to because I just love my Q2XL and the way it shoots. It has been a really good bow, but next year is a new year and you can't have too many bows
I'm sure the wife will say "why do you need two bows?" I'll have to pass it off like a spare tire on a car--just in case.
Christmas came early to the Metiva house. My wife ordered me new cold weather gear-Cabela's super slam elite fleece jacket and bibs with scent-lok. It should be here tomorrow via UPS, I am pumped to get this to make my December hunts more enjoyable. I hope it isn't too heavy, the tracking info says the package weighs 10.4 lbs! Oh well, as long as its warm and quiet all will be good.

Im here. Sorry I didnt get signed in earlier. As far as hunting land goes, the land I will be hunting looks like a doe hot spot so I am hoping it will become a buck hot spot when the rut hits. I havent had alot of scouting time but I have pretty much decided on the tree I would like to use. Its over(about 10-20 yards from)a pretty heavy trail that leads to the hay field where they feed. So all in all I am not completely ready for the season but then again, are we ever?
