Just got back from a morning hunt. Yesterday was pretty quite for seeing deer because only had a couple does come by me.
This morning was quite cool. I sat on the edge of a slew/weedsthat had right by it a greened up barley field and a worked up wheat field. After sitting for 20 - 30 minutes I heard something coming, but never got to see it because it was still and half anhour before light and it also cut throughon the other side of the slew/weeds. I also had a small 4 x 4 come by about 10 yards away and a 2 1/2 4 x 4.He had good G2 but that was about it. Did see a big 3 x 3 ( always bump into this buck ). He is the first buck that I have seen out of velvet in our area.
There was a bigger buck later on when I was exiting my spot. With him there was a smaller buck and about a dozen does and fawns out in the CRP butthey just had to come back about 400 yards away at least.[:@] He had really good mass and good brows. He was a 5 x 5 but did not have the greatest G2 and G3. He was still in velvet. Probably 145 - 150. He's a shooter.

Sounds like you had a good morning dagger. You live in a one buck state or county? Makes me want my season to start that much sooner, we had an unusually cool weekend for this time of year mid 70's and light rain. The deer sure loved it I just hope it stays cool would be nice to not have to wear shorts under my ASAT leafy suit all October this year!!
I have some pics to upload of a decent eight, but as for that I havent gotten much on camera, but I did get my camera working finally it was the sensitivity setting and the high heat we have had. I load the pics later tonight.

I just added our name. We our now known as Team Full Draw.
Well thats just say I had one of the worst nights ever. About half an hour after I got to my spot, the wind switch so instead of a north wind it was a south wind. My scent was blowing directly down where the bucks were bedding. I got out as fast as I could. Now I'm just sitting in the house bored.
I have had more troubles with wind this weekend than I had last year combined.
I don't know if I am going out anytime this week untilthis weekend.

Does anyone have any expertise in making logos/avatars. There is nothing on our home computer to make them except paint and that is just being desperate trying to make something on that. There is quite a few teams that already have logos.

Team Full Draw....I like it! Sounds like you had another good hunt. Keep at it....you're going to get us on the board first......I can feel it!
A quick report from some of my MN buddies who hunted near Devils Lake this weekend. 4 hunters...1 from N.D. and 3 out of state had a couple good days. They shot 3 bucks first one was roughly a120" 9 pointer decent mass and 18" spread, out of velvet. the second buck was 135 " to 140 " 10 pointer out of velvet. The last one was shot by the N.D. guy it was in velvet....and they're guesssing 150" to 160"
Not a bad start to the season.
Good Luck!

They must have some really nice deer around where they hunt. We have nice deer, quite a few 130 class to 140. After that there seems to be only one buck 140 or better in an area. Thats why my dad and I go in many areas and we sometimes will hunt miles away from each other.

Awesome gator. Did you go on another gator hunt?
