spent some time in the woods this morning. lots of rubs through the area that i'll be hunting. only 2 more days!

This has been one long weekend. I spent alot of time getting my gear in order. Giving everything a fresh wash and double checking my inventory. Headed to Cabela's on Friday to pickup some odds and ends. Need to look for some good waterproof camo as well.

No offense but I would really hate to beyou guys who"sseason hasn't started yet. I would have gone nuts by now. If not me then my wife for sure. No bow hunting this weekend. I was spend time with thefamily and also did a little duck hunting. But the whole time I was waiting for the ducks and was wishing I was in my bow stand. I will be out there tonight after work though. I hope I can catch a little nap at work.

Here in PA we're used to our season not starting until sometime in the first week of October. This year we get a break since it starts on Sept. 30th. Only a few more days to go.

Well I made it out to the woods but only briefly. I got out of my truck and checked the wind and it was perfect for the stand I was planning on hunting. Not 5 min after I got settle the wind picked up and was swirling like you wouldn't believe. I don't think I would have minded so much but it was blowing hard. I have been looking outside for the last hour and there is hardly a breeze at all. Oh well some time spent with the family.

Well I got out again after work and it was windy again. I had a bunch of turkey around the for most of the night. It wasn't until about 5 min before I got up to leave that Istarted to see deer. One doe and then a pretty nice buck. But it was to late to even think about pulling back. With all the wind they were very skidish. I think I am stuck duck hunting tomorrow evening due to the fact it is suppose to rain.
