Rob/PA said this link shoul be good for last years results if anyones interested. I just wanted to see what kind of numbers were put up.
I noticed lots of teams only had a couple of guys score on bucks, it looks like the formula for success wasn't necessarily just big bucks but a good success ratio.

Hi team mates
Heres a list that every one had suguested for a team name.
Team Got Bucks
Team Wallhangers
Bush wackers - This one might be taken in a diffrent way , if you know what I mean.
Buck Stoppers
The Rack Masters
Stump Thumpers
Mega Bucks
Mega Racks
Buck Slayers
You decide which one you like the most and the name that has the most response will be chosen ok.
Then we ask Slim to make the shirts and he can let us know how we can get them to everybody if thats ok with Slim.

I guess my ideas weren't even worthy of making the list...oh well[&o]. Just kiddin, it really doesn't matter to me, i like them all. I like Stump Thumpers the most though, has a nice ring to it.

Thought of another one, Thunderstruck,but like I said earlier, it doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, I am just ready for Oct. 1.

You have it together. The only thing your missing is your Zodiac Sign, your confession of taking long walks on the beach holding hands with each other, and a big deer killed this year. Other then that, it's a good start.

I like Team "Wallhangers" or Team "Mega-Bucks". I'm impartial to wallhangers because I have the Mega Buck hunting videos and didn't like the videos too much. But I'm easy soalmost any name will be gravywith me.

Just to touch on what fieldmouse mentioned I am a Gemini who doesn't care too much for walks on the beach holding hands but i do enjoy a finewhiskey and goodhuntingstories, I've noticedthe whiskey usually adds a lot more size tothebucks in the stories, that's probably just me though.

Is anybody else going to try tovideo some hunts this year. I got a couple of guysI bowhunt with that are pretty dedicatedand we take turns filming, hopefully this will be the season it all comes together.

SW Iowa Hunter was on Team 19 last year....

They finished the contest with a WHOPPING 44 1/2 points...

None of which came from SW Iowa Hunter as he posted a BIG, FAT 0 inches of antler last season!!

I'm not sure he should be looking for competition....He should probably be out looking for some deer.

Well I'm not much on hand holding ( unless it's with my wife ) and theres no beach near by , so its just hunting for me.
As for that zodiac stuff ... I'm a aries ( the ram ) ... like that really matters I hope this makes Fieldmouse happy.
When it comes down to hunting , I would like to get my hunt on flim but I don't have a video camera but I might get a friend to go with me and tape it for me.
It would be nice to haveall of the team get thier hunts on flim for extra points andto share with the rest of team.

If and when the time comes let us know how much the shirts will cost plus s / h , ok .
I think it would be fair to let the team take a couple of days to review the list and make up there mind, let's say by the end of next week 09 / 02 / 06 we should come to a final agreement on the name.
Then we could ask Slim to come up with a logo if he can do it for us , so come on every body let me hear from you.
Oh by the way I should take this time to thank everybody for picking me as your captian I consider this an honor and I hope I don't let you guys or this team down.
I'll get with Rob / PA to find out what I have to do as captian , thanks again for your confidence.

i like stump thumpers as well. maga buck takes me back to watching crappy videos..
i want to video tape this years. what kind of camra should i get for this type of footage? thanks.. oh yeah im a gemini as well and dont know about all that walking hand in hand it just aint for me.

Ok team I talked to Rob about our missing man and his correct name is orr2003 not oor2003.
Well give him some time to respond to the E - Mail I sent in the meantime I also asked about using their logo T - shirt and add our team logo with it.
He said that I should take that up with HNI Justin, so I will soon but I should ask you all first about that idea.
So let me know what you think about it.

It sounds good to me too. SW Iowa Hunter and I are going to try and get our hunts on video this year. For anyone who was wondering, he is my bro-in-law and hunting buddy. We do all right for a couple of know nothings. I like the name Mega Bucks still, and think the t-shirts sound like a good idea. Only 35 days until the opener. It seems like a year at this point.

I like StumpThumpers since I posted it but I only said it because I hit a stump with a miss last year but dont worry guys I have the new TRYKON and I'm "dead" on if you catch my drift. With all the smack ROB/PA has been talking I'm up at his house for some stand hanging festivities and I'm going to put the smack down on him with alittle bow shooting contest. So I will take StumpThumping to a new level.

Thanks for the well written and well thought out post. Upon further reflection I would have to agree with you about my coming out on the short end last year. Due to the great advice I recieved in your post I will be spending the rest of the off season scouting. :)

RDHUNTER I read the rules or should I say I had to hear ROB/PA churp about them, of course if he scores this year I will be sure to take photos with out his bow or him for that matter. Just kidding he is standing right beside me and we were just talking about them when I read your post. i went out to check some cattle out by my stands on fridayand the draw to the right of pne pf my standshad two really nice bucks come out of it. i couldntget a good look at them because it was getting dark and i was about 500 yards away butidont thinkive seen either of these deer before. i hope they stay close. im going out around noon to set out a trail cam where i saw them come out so maybe i can get some picturesof these guys.

Hope you get a shot at them big boys this season and I'll looking forward to seeing those cam pics.
I went to my favroite 3D range for a little practice and I was kinda disapointed at my performace.
Although my overall score was 259 out of a possible 300 they have ten stations with three targets at each station.
Out of thirty shots fourteen were ten pointers and out of that fourteen only six were dead nut center ( 10 X ) I know I can do better than that.
The rest of them were eight pointers ( Lung shots ) well not all eight I had three 5 pointers .
Darn I must have misjudged the yardage on those oh wellI'll keep practicing right up to opening day Oct. 1st.

How all you doing? I been working 12hrs a day 7 days a week. Sorry for not posting that much. I been hunting for 35 years, I live in Bucks co PA. I think the best part of this contest is talking to my team mates from other parts of the country. I tell you all that I will not shoot a small buck just for this contest. I have a 8pt or better rule that I go by. I do shoot does for meat which I love, can't get enough. Im going to Kentucky this year to hunt 6 days with Licking River Outfitters. The Buck hunting has picked up bit since the antler restrictions were put in place by Gary Alt 3 years ago. I have permission to hunt some nice farms here in Southeast Pa and I have some nice spots on the Delaware River that you can only get to by boat. It looks like we have a nice mix of states on our team and a passion for Bowhunting by all. I look forward to this contest and talking to you all.

Sounds like you gotta good plan and that eight point rule sounds good too.
I myself won't shoot a young buck I'd say let'em live another two years or so and see what kind of rack he'll be wearing.
I know those long hours gotta be wearing out but you know what they say ( you can't pay the bills on look alone ) beleave me I tried it and it didn't work.

Fellas I hope all is well. I don't post much on the weekends because my computer at the house died. I did doalittle bit of low impact scouting over the weekend. One of the areas I will be hunting is anavy base near my home. They have allowed hunting there for the past10-15 yrs with some excellent buck management rules in place. I watched three nice bucks withmy spotting scope from an access road a few fundred yards away. Couldn't see a lot of detail but two of these guys are shooters for sure.What's even better is the area is bowhunting only except for some blackpowder days.Ihung a couple of stands last Tuesday at my other honey-hole on the Eastern Shore and saw a load of deer probably 50-60 well before dark. There is one particular buck there that I have seen the past two seasons and I think I saw him Tuesday evening, HE IS A BEAST!! But he's real slippery as well, lasy year I felt like I was playing chess with somebody way better than me, every time I tried to set-up on him he was one step ahead.

Good news and bad news. Good news,I got a decent 8 pt. on camera, bad news, my batteries went dead on my camera 3 days after checked it last and had 10 days of of nothing, zilch, nadda. I knew better than to leave the old batteries in there. Oh well, lesson learned. The 8 pt. is borderline P&Y, if he just had eye guards it would be good.

Some of the pics are blurry, i had a video of a cow licking the lens and it rained around that time, could be the reason for the blurry pics. Anyhow, here are 3 of the better ones.

Well guys how is ereybody doing?
Did anybody get a chance to see Slims logo sample I thought it was pretty cool nice job Slim.
Still haven't heard from orr2003 , I hope he responds by the end of the week .
Has any one seen the other teams name and logo's I had to go in the " smack shack " and do a little bashing.

Hey New how did the scouting go , hope you had fun and Millertime nice pictures even if the cow did lick the lens, I hope you get a shot at one of bucks this season.
I heard from HNIJustin and he said if the team buys the site T - Shirts that bears the logo we could add our team logo to it if that what the team wants or we could get the shirts from Q2inwhitetails he might have a better option.
It was just a idea to ponder , you guys think about it and let me know so we can get the ball rolling.
