OK you might think i am a horrible person for putting a stand this close to my house but when the bucks walk 100 yards from my house..... i might have to consider sitting there tomorrow morning....
i walked out of my garage and all i can see is ANTLERS underneath my stand..... i had to go to work at 5:00 and it is 4:15... work is 10 min away

i run inside grab my bow and equipment and come back outside 2 bucks standing 100 yards from me.... i slow down and take careful steps i get to the edge of my garage and i see a spike 20 yards!!!!!! oh no... he runs the other bucks do not hear him... they just keep getting farther away... i walk as fast and as quiet as i can... didn't get a shot but i think i know where i am going to be sitting tomorrow!!!!!
small 6 and a 10 point!!!!
but another day!!!!!!!

This buck was killed on a neighboring property where i do most of my hunting. Although i had seen him several times spotting i never layed eyes on him in the woods, what a beast- i think he will easily hit 150, what do you guys think?

In other good news, my nephew finally scored on a buck. He killed this small 5pnt out of my treestand at 7:15 this morning. He made a perfect shot and the buck dropped 40 yards later, and i couldn't be happier for him.
Hang in there guys, the best hunting is just now upon us.

Nice buck Pa Tropy Manhowever that bad boy will never see 150. His tines are too short... still he is a very nice buck.

Well small game season is in...and I had every hunter in the area trample through..
I even had one guy shoot at a cat as it ran under me..(I was 18 ft in a climber).
Boy you shoulda saw his face when I said "great shot Shockey, you missed the elusive house cat!" Since I was all camo'd out, he must have thought God Himself was berating him.. Then he finally saw me and aplogized profusely!
Saw 1 small buck Saturday morn and that was it!!!
Except for the Monster I saw when I was driving home Sunday.. wowzy.. he was a booner for sure!

Wow Team have we hit a dry spell! I know myself, I'm extremely frustrated after this past weekend.
But we all have to hold our heads up, a season can turn around in seconds! Keep after it, we have some exciting weeks ahead!

I posted about my continuing poacher problem on the bowhunting section. I got 2 arrested sat'day, but I am beginning to have my doubts about the rest of my season there. They have killed 3 bucks--that I know of, (with rifle)and have been very invasive and disruptive to my area. I don't know what to expect.
