The landowner where I hunt came by for a beer tonight, we're both excited. He doesn't even hunt, but expects sausages :D

I'll spend saturday fine tuning the compound and x-bow, if I get the compound shooting consistant I'll take it out, otherwise it'll be the CB.
Either way, I'll be in a tree Sunday morning :)

I've been out three times now and the first time I let a doe handcuff me and never could get drawn. Second time had doe's bed 45yds from me never would come any closer. Third time it was a full moon and didn't see anything.
Thursday it's getting nice and cold I may go and sit all day. We need to score something!!

RE: 34-Team Official Thread

I was out all weekend, seen a bunch of deer, at least one every sit. None were too big,and most were either too far out in the meadow, or in the corn with no clear shots. I did take one shot that I shouldn't have, it was a 4pt with a body too big for its rack. It was too dark out and standing in a area where I had no reference for distance, I used my 20yrd pin when I should have used my 30, it was tall grass and I still haven't found the arrow, but I'm sure its not in the deer.
Besides pacing off more landmarks I learned another lesson this weekend; don't get tunnel vision on one deer. I was watching a small4pt moving around the fied and reaching into my bag for the can when I looked over and realized a nice little 6pt was closer than the other one and was staring at me, I was so intent on the 1st deer that I never noticed a bigger one enter the field. He took off when we made eye contact.
