I saw him upwind of me in a thicket and grunted him in. He lost interest until I gave a tending grunt series and then he came in on a string to get downwind of me. I shot him at 100yards even. I've never seen this before but when I shot him, He jumped straight up in the air and did a backflip!!! Landing on his antlers the fall broke his neck and he didn't move again, except for the 3 or 4 leg twitches.

Hey Guys. Well not much has been hapenning down here. I shot a couple of does last wekk but thats about it. the weather has turned hot again and they have gone back to moving at night. None the less i still have over 2 months of the season to go and the rut will kick off in about 6 weeks. I'll keep ya posted

Well, the last two weeks have had their ups and downs. I spent one day in Wyoming (http://hunting.sendphotos.com/?Y38K0I) with a good friend of mine, and five days in Texas with my six year old daughter (http://hunting.sendphotos.com/?K5NZ60). She ventured out on her first deer hunt with daddy in tow. Using a semi auto .223, Danielle shot two deer (two proud moments for dad for sure)! While in Texas, I passed on several small bucks(holding out for Mister Big). I saw two nice mature bucks, but neither came within bow range. I left Texas, for the forth time, empty handed. I look forward to going back!
I'm off to Nebraska thisweekend...Oklahoma and Arizona after that.

That's a pretty buck Hazcon... I still haven't mailed off that skull and rack to ya yet... Started to one day and the box I chose was too small by about two inches, so I put it back in the freezer. We get shipments into our house all the time (we order a lot on the internet) so I should get a box big enough pretty soon.
