Hey buds,
Good to hear from you all...
Ryan, ya know you're right my house may be full of GAS...
Quick, good to hear the shoulder is feeling a bit better today... I can't wait for all you guys to get out hunting, I feel like the lone ranger right now...
Last nights hunt...
I was invaded by cows in Ole yellers domain...I didnt see a deer...BUT... I did find HIGH RACKS matched set of sheds from 2 years ago... Gauranteed his..with the perfect crab claw g-4s and short brow tines.. Do you guys remember that buck? Anyway the sheds I almost stepped on of his...were laying right together ...very faded..(2 years old..his 3.5 year old set) and chewed up a bit but not to bad for 2 years old... So thenight wasnt all bad..His set is about a 135 inch gross ...set as a 3.5 year old...
I dont get to hunt tonight, I have open house at school..I get to hang it with all my students parents... yippy...
Mike, Ryan, Pat.. it looks like I have someone to cover me 6th hour...so I should be able to pick you guys up around 2-2:30 pm... We will be calling bulls Friday Evening...

Hey guys sorry it has been so long since I have replied. I have been really busy both at home and at work. I usally have time to get on at work but have not been able to lately. I did read all of the back post but I am sure I will miss something. Troy sorry to here about the lucky buck eluding both you and your brother. I know you will put a big one down sooner or later. Quick sorry to here about the shoulder but it sounds like you are healing up nicely. I am so jelous of mike and ryan you are some lukcy guys. I have been out scouting a little but not much. I will behunting pretty much the same place as last year. I have been busy going to physical therapy myself. I started traing for a physical fittness test for the indiana state police which is the last step in the hiring process other than them saying I have the job or I don't. While traning for that I was having alot of pain in my legs so they did a bone scan and both of my legs are fractured in the lower portion of my shins. I think I have it all worked out now and should be able to start running again in a week or so. I am really hopeing to get the job but won't know any more until early december which is when the physical test is. I hope all is going well and I will be on alot more now so lets go kill some big old bucks. Talk to you all later.

AR- Great looking trail cam photo and nice buck bud! Cool stuff.
Hoosier, Best of luck with the state police job and for your legs, did you have severe shin splints...? hairline fractures?
Ryan Mike, what time are you guys arriving in Spokane again? I may be able to get over there even earlier now! Possibly 1:30 my time. Do you guys know when Pats arriving by chance, I know he told me, but I didnt write it down.
2 Days guys! The weather is turning in our favor its going to cool off tomorrow.
Whitetails will be put on hold for the next 10 days.
I may slip out right before dark tonight (after my house work is finished, working on the siding) and try to get a crack at a couple good bucks upbehind my place.
Ryan, Mike I will pmyou my cell phone #

Ryan, don't forget your bow.
I speak from experience. Just kidding.
Hoosier - good luck with the State Police. That's a very rewarding career, and it sounds like you're almost there. I think we had a client with a similar injury once, were there some kind of painfulmicro-fractures in your Tibia and Fibula? Good news that you're back near 100%. Man, we're all getting old. Ouch.
AR - nice picture. Now, you run an arrow through that guy, and we'll be in business. I'm guessing that you hunt in the area where that picture was taken?
Button - you're really taking a beating from those team 36 guys. It looks like we'll have to do our best and serve up a nice warm plate of humble pie.
Elk Hunters/guides - I just wanted to take the time to wish all you guys a safe and successful trip. Troy - you are THE MAN for going the extra mile for these fellas. Really, this elk hunt is truly the hunt of a lifetime, and you're sacrificing your own home, your own food and your own vacation time to make it happen. That's really what sportsmanship is all about, and it doesn't go un-noticed. You and your family are truly good people, and should be recognized. Anyway, here's to a safe flight, no lost luggage, good friends, good food, good times and lots of bull elk action. We'll be rooting for you guys and we're expecting periodic updates. Take lots of pictures guys.
Troy - you're the only guy I know who could go out in the middle of September, when the weeds are waist deep, and find a 130+ class set of sheds. Seriously, you're a shed finding machine. I still have to upload the pictures of my sheds I found this year - you'll get a laugh out of that. Good luck on those Whities between now and Thursday.

Troy - got the PM - will give you a shout tonight after my meeting - 5:00 my time - but they tend to run long. The food sounds fine to me! - and we may be running on enough excitement that food andsleep may be optional! - OH my chuclking ability is great on a duck call - the elk chuckles - well they just suck so I am not planning on sharing with the 4 legged critics in the mountains!
Ryan - I am still looking through my list oflists - trying to make sure that I did not forget to include everything of the other lists. Will be glad once we are on that plane - if I did forget something - oh well at that point. I just hate the "Did I think of everything" that I keep hearing in the back of my mind! I've got to double check the flight - they have changed so many times.
Fran - thanks for the reminder - I could see myself forgetting that very important piece of luggage!! - Glad to hear the shoulder is feeling better.
AR - nice pic - would make a good before and after with him on the wall!
William - sorry to hear about the legs - but glad they are on the mend! - best of luck with the state police position - that would be great!
bbm - or I mean b&C bm - this is the year buddy!
Gotta run - take care everyone!
Mike
