hmmm...Dont like that idea. Seems a bit hypocritical. I dont have alot of posts but I can assure you that I'll be around from start to finish...

How is that hypocritcal?
How would you feel ifyou didnt meet the post requirments when you first joined last year? All this idea willdo is keep more people from coming tothe bowhunting forumbecause they are being discluded.

DC ain't no spring lilly

He's an old timer around here......one of the corner stones of the bowhunting forum for sure. With out DC who knows what this place would turn into???? He keeps all the riff raff out

Sit back and you too can bask in his superior bowhunting aura

Wait and see DC will throw down some good horn in the contest this year

You totally missed the point. I realize DC has been here and is well know and that he is experienced in bowhunting, but what about the 'fawns' that are experienced in bowhunting? I honestly hope that you guys make the requirements to have at least 200 posts so I can whack a good one in October along with all the other low posters and show you your mistakes.

PSE the problem last year was a bunch of people signed up for the contestbut never came. We emailed them time and again most never came back. I would guess 50-60 were no where to be found. Of those maybe 20 checked back in.

We are just looking for a solution to the problem before hand this year is all.

I really dont want to sound ignorant, and if thats the way you take it then Im sorry.
I may have a solution------Why not put all the regulars into one hat,and draw teams of 10 or whatever, and put the not so regulars into a hat and draw there teams.
I do agree with buckeye about the problems we had last year with guys sighning up to play, only not to show all season.
Or maybe better yet---get at least 5 "regulars" per team and 5 unregulars. That should make it fair, probably even out in the long run.

Why would you even want to join the contest if you aren't an active member of the board? The contest is for bragging rights among fellow board memebers.......

I don't a get a chance to post outside of hunting season. Reason being is I work too much and wife and kids keep me busy. However, I was a part of this contest last year, and very loyal as I might say. If I were to be left out because I don't have enough posts, you can bet I'll be posting elsewhere. I understand you may have a hard time getting everyone to stay on top of things but I think you'd be kicking yourself in the foot. Why are we trying to exclude hunters...Isn't the goal of these forums to spread knowledge and gain involvement??? Please Moderator, Step In....

It was more ofa rant that a call to arms..... I can guarantee you that Rob P/A will not make the changes I suggested for the exact reasons you and others mentioned...... It still doesn't change the fact that it's very frustrating.
