AR sorry to here you counldn't find the doe. I am sure your daughter was excited and so were you. It is only 3 more days until I can get out thier and hunt. It is killing me all the waiting.
quik I think the logo looks good. I am going to try and put it in my sig.
Well this weekend went pretty well for my friend that races quads. We got the pipe I built all tuned in and he went out and won both races. He led both of them start to finish. Hope he keeps winning.

I think the 75 pixel tall one is even better quick, looks crisper, doesmn't take up so much room. Still am partial to the bunny mind you but that is probably because I don't have my name on it... Or I just like 6 foot tall stuffed pink lagomorphs. Yes, that is spelled wrong.
So, Big Daddy, how is the hunting going for you up in MN right now? I envy your early season right now but I don't envy the winters up there... Brrrrrr. I hope my weekend of driving hell doesn't expand into Monday too.. Man, it is so close now, going crazy.

So as of Saturday, everyone on our team will be able to start hunting, right?
Oh, by the way, I wanted to ask you guys a favor. There was a young kid on here that was looking to start turkey hunting, but from what I understand, he didn't have much money, and was asking about what calls to buy. Anyway, I got his name and address, and I was going to mail him a box of turkey hunting stuff once I get it all rounded up. If any of y'all are interested, I can PM you his info, and you could send him some old stuff, too,if you have it laying around. You know, the stuff that ayoung guy just starting outcould use - pushbutton calls, box calls, an old vest. I already have an old set of Minolta compact Bino's, ajake decoyand some slate calls. My problem is that I'm constantly giving stuff away, and I didn't have as much laying aroundas I thought I did. I remember when I was young and po' (still po', but not as much), comin' up with the dough to buy those goodies wastough.
He seems like a pretty nice young man, 15, I think. I know a lot of you guys probably don't even turkey hunt, but I figured I'd mention it.

Quick, I don't Turkey hunt, not from lack of wanting to but from lack of oportunity.. All that being said, I will try to find something for him to send his way, even if it means buying a call for him from the store. I don't know if there will be many out right now being that it is not Spring (fall turkey is kind of a forgotten season around here) but I will check around for him.I did not have a hunting mentor or much help when I was this kids age, when I wasin my early 20's a guy from work in Montana took me underhis wing and taught me a lot in two seasons. Wish he would have been around when I was younger...So, now that I am older, still learning what I can on my own with some help from some locals and the internet, I feel that if any kid needs help, I really should give what I can when I can, it is just the right thing to do for me.
Is that a threat or a promise Quick? Put team XX on it somewhere, and update the names and I WILL use it on the first deer I kill this year posting...

IL - don't go out and buy anything special - with the interest I've already drummed up, this kid will have turkey calls coming out of his ears, really.
Besides, I'm just trying to score some Karma points here, to make up for all ofthe dastardly deeds that I'm about to commit against the animal population, come archery season
. I've been helping old ladies cross the road all week.

Gentlemen...and Quick too... just kidding..
How are we doing today? Not to bad here, I had a chance to read through everything since I last posted. Its good to see you guys have the ship running smooth!
AR, sorry about the doe, but as you said, it serves as a great learning experience. As for the reality of bowhunting.... as long as you guys did everything in your power to find that doe, there isnt much more you can do. I feel for your daughter, I am sure she will have many more opportunities and will make the most of them with you at her side.
IL, sounds like your having fun getting the pickup set up... to fit your wife's needs!
Rybo, man it sounds like you had a great time in VEGAS..... personally I have never experienced "sin city"
Quick, you da man! helping out the kids and getting all ready for your season! best of luck! Hammer a good one
Bowhnt Mike, good to see you back around and hope all is going well in your preperations.
I emailed a few guys that asked for the T-shirt artwork. The shirts will be done OCT 4th, I think they are really nice! Hope you guys do.
To everyone now that we are all hunting..pretty much, give or take a few days.... I hope the best for all you guys! Like I always say, be safe andshoot the animal that makes you happy!
I am very busy logging and have a dead line to make by Oct 1. So hunting for me has been one day in the last week pretty much....
Saturday I located the herd bull I shared the video of. Before daylight. I moved in on him and about 35 cows. He really has anice herd gathered up now!
Anyway to make a long story short for 2.5 hours I cow talked him, and then challenged him with a bugle once I got within 70 yards and watched him tear up a tree and the ground responding to me. Nevertheless, I did not get an opportunity to shoot him. The closest I got was 50 yards. I can't explain how awesome of an experience it was, yet to come so close after passing up all these young bulls. Again I had a spike come into 5 yards!!!!! I waved my hand at him to get him away from me! LOL he jumped out of his skin! The big bull really looked good up close, He's a heavy racked 6x5 and most impressive in his body size. A nice mature bull as you that saw the video clip could see. I have to Log/work every day after schoolthe rest of this week which the season closes Friday....so I wont be hunting until OCT 10th when the season opens back up.
Good luck to everyone one in OCT! I have a feeling we will be on the board soon! I will get those shirts mailed out ASAP after Oct 4th...

LOL, Shed.. Nice hearing from you [:-]Yes, setting the truck up to make her happy... Well, if that wa the case it would have been a gas engine, with adjustable pedals anda SRW instead of a dual... Oh, and a DVD player for the kid to watch in the back seat...
But than again it is a lot easier for me to be happy when she isn't pissed off at me.
I have to dropthe truckoff today to get the goose hitch put in and than go pick up the 24 foot trailer for it.. Might be heading out to Colorado on the 27th of October to goto a sale.. Would blow another weekend butI need to go to that sale to spend some more money.. My banker is so happy with me one day when the checks come in and than frowning the next when they go out.
The shirts look great Shed... Looking forward to the box showing up in the mail in a couple weeks..
Went and finally bought the scents that I am going to use this season. We shall see how well they work, if at all. So, basically all set up for the season now.. Finally.
