Well, It looks like our acorn crop might be dropping early if this hurricane does what they think. I hope not but my persimmons and crab apples will be toast. So it might be tough early. I have been practicing some and if he stays put from 50 in I'm good. Matthews LX sure is sweet. But I have also been shooting a longbow some, I am going to have to get alot better to use it and be sure of a kill. We open up Oct. To hot to do much scouting now but will hit the woods after the hurricane to see whats changed.

First and foremost - stay safe down there! You're no good to our team if you're dead!
In all seriousness though - I hope everything comes out good for you once this storm passes. Your safety and the safety of your family is certainly more important that deer hunting.
Besides, Mazur and I will carry us to victory. No worries.

Well a little bad news is that I won't be around for the first 2 weeks on November as I will be in South Africa! I'm tryin to do a hunting safari as well, hope things come together! Once again good luck!

I am getting excited. Season starts this friday, Sept. 2 at noon! I was out watching an alfalfa field where i have my stand hung. I saw 30 deer, 12 were bucks 3 were 110-125 class, 5 were 130-150 class, the rest were spike and basket racks.

Went out scouting this weekend around my lease. Saw two shooters a 130 class 8 (very tall)and a 140 class 10. They were together on a clearcut on public land. Seen about 10 other small bucks. Hung a few stands and now it's just a waiting game till the 17th.

All I have to say is: Ask Justin who lost the most important shot of the day during his practice shoot. He mayhave anew bow and horseshoe Mazur on his team but he is going to need alot more. Paul also remember that sometimes luck just isn't enough.
P.S - I am in need of a team.
