Frank - respond to my email!
Justin,

Sorry about that. I just responded to that PM you sent back on the 31st. I could have sworn I sent you something after reading it the first time. If that isn't what you are referring to then I did not get any actual emails from you.

I am ready for the season as well guys. About a week and a half to go at this point and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I have two stands to choose from for the first morning and haven't decided which one I am going to sit at yet. One is a stand I have hunted for years that continues to produce at least one or two deer a season. The other is relatively new though the trail cam pics look really promising.

Come on October...hurry up!

hrm - I sent you an actual email as well. Wonder why you didn't get it? Shoot me an email - [email protected] - when you get a chance so I've got your address.

and yeah - come on Oct 1st! I went out to hang/trim some of my stands this weekend only to discover that the awesome individual who stole my treesteps last year came back and took the strap off my stand sometime this summer. Apparently the steps weren't enough, and since they couldn't get the stand (locked onto the tree) they decided to take a souveneir! Sometimes I just love people.

Well, I am ready for openning day Oct. 1. I am going to check the honey hole this weekend. The persimmon tree is full and the deer are coming to it. Hope to get the eight point I saw the other day, its not a record, but not to bad for public land. The bow is on out to 50 so if the conditions are right openning weekend looks good. Good luck to everyone. May the wind be in your face and the rack in the perfect place, your arrow fly true and put the meat on the table for you.

I haven't had a chance to go out for about 2 weeks now. Hopefully this weekend I will be out again. The deer have been coming out to the field pretty late now so I think I will try and sneek in closer to the bedding area and hopefully catch the big one earlier with more light. It must be getting pretty close for some of your seasons starting huh?

Saturday opens the adventure for the year here. Went scouting today and found some nice spots. One of my favorite spots had some tree damage, but I think it is still ok. Saw some white oaks that will drop their acorns later on this year. Good luck to all of the team.

I went out again last night and saw a 140 class 5 point and a 120 class 4 point. But everytime I see them they end up on the opposite side of the field of me. Dang things are always one step ahead of me. I tried grunting and snort/wheezing It got their attention, I thought the 5 point was gonna come to me but at the last moment he would go back to feeding. I am going again on thursday hopefully I will have a closer encounter this time.
