Fellas we're on the boards. I've got the first one out of the way - hopefully they'll get bigger with each entry ;)

I'll post it on the score board thread in the morning after I've measured the rack but I don't think it'll score much.

This is my First bow buck and my First bow deer while hunting on the ground.

Story time:
I was set up on the ground just inside the first row of standing corn, in the field corner. I've sat on the ground a lot the last 2 weeks seeing how close I can get to the deer on the ground with little concealment, what a rush! I've been fortunate enough to be within 10 feet of several bucks already this year.
This evening I had a buck within 5 feet of my left shoulder, never heard him until he almost stepped on me.
He never saw me but just browsed in the cut corn for about 15 minutes then disappeared... I thought.
I called him back in with a super quiet buck grunt (actually I was so excited I wasn't able to blow the darn thing very well lol).
He stepped into my shooting lane at about 10 yards in fading light. A quick "maaah" stopped him broadside and I delivered a ground level double lung stinger.
I backed out slowly so as not to bump him since I couldn't find my arrow (with binoculars) and went home for a very very long 2 hour wait. Called my friend Eric help blood trail and share in my excitement. As it turned out, he crashed within 70 yards and probably died within 10 minutes.
Its not the biggest deer in this contest but it is my best deer to date. So score 1 up for Team FEAR THIS - We're on the boards!!!!

Actually, I have hunting Illinois for about 9 years now, this being my first bowhunting year, and that looks like almost all of the deer I have got. I think I only have one with more points, it was a 10 pointer that probably scored about 60...:D
