Hi guys....It's been kind of quite....just waiting for Sept. 15. We went to the farm this holiday weekend. Saw a few does. Picked trail cams up and the batterys in the digital were dead[:@] so we had 3 pictures of trees only[:'(]
We remembered that last year we put some Buck Grub out in front of the cameras to slow things down. We forgot to do that this year so there are a few butts in our pictures. How pathetic! We put our cameras on trails and in the woods around the crop fields....not close to any of our stands but on the way to the fields. Last year we had some pretty good pics. We'll keep trying with the cams......The big boys are out there. If I can figure out how to get pictures on here, I will post some from the last couple of years. Good luck to every one and hunt safe. More later. Diann

Well, I officially deserve the BoneHead award! [&:] I went out to my spot on Friday and setup my Cuddeback but forgot to disarm it. I remembered that yesterday when driving by that area but I didn't have the key to the padlock so couldn't go fix it. [:@] Oh well, I will try to go out during lunch this week and hope that I can get some pics before opening day.

Mom, to post pics, just click on the "click here to upload!" link in the reply to message board. Your pics have to be 100kb or smaller. Then check to embed picture in post box.

Just checking in. My dad and I went hunting last weekend and Monday and didn't see anything barely!!!!![X(] On Friday night, I had a couple does and a fawn about 7 yards away. On Saturday night, I did not see one deer. On Sunday night, I also did not see anything, but my dad saw a 2 1/2 year old 3x4. On Monday morning, once again I did not see anything. On Monday night, I saw a couple of does before I got out to my spot.
My dad and I think the warm and humidweather really affected the out come of this weekend. I don't think I'm going to get out next weekend because my dad his going to be harvesting beans.[&o] Man Ithink I got bit by every mosquito in North Dakota. Hoping for coolerweather andbetter success the next time.

That's OK. There is still plenty of time left to hunt. As far as mosquitos go, you should try the Thermacell. I won't hunt early season without one anymore. That thing works wonders for mosquitos and flies.

Since MOM is experiencing technical difficulties, I am posting a pic of her deer from last year. Looks good to me! I wish I had deer this size running around my neck of the woods.

Thanks to G2, this picture is finally up. This Big Boy is 12 point, 152 gross, 146 5/8 net-- deductions for double brow tines-- 22 inch inside spread. I hunted this deer for 6 weeks.....saw him first part of bow season and harvested him the last day of gun season, 3 hours before we were to leave for KC. NEVER GIVE UP!!
Hopefully this year I will get close to the same caliber of deer.
Tag Out on team 11 got a great deer last year also, much bigger than mine[:@]. If I ever figure out this picture thing, I will post it for him! We haven't had it scored yet, but we are hoping for 170's. Thanks again to G2 for the long distance help:D
