Went up last night for a couple hours and got in my treetop stand and at 6:15 had a small spike come in slowly and go straight under my stand. Gave me a great adrenaline rush, though.

Recurver, hope you get some time to relax soon. The rut is right around the corner. Hopefully your days of long hours will be a distant memory and can you can focus on one of those nice looking deer you got up there.

There is a 30% chance of rain here on Saturday. But regardless, I'm going out, rain or shine. If it's raining, then I'm going to do some still-hunting.

Hey Everyone,
Sorry I have not been on the board very much, I have a lot going on! I did manage to shoot a nice buck a few days ago. I do not have a score yet. Here is the link. I only had a few days in WI this year so I gave in knowing I only had one more day left.

Awesome deer Todd. I just read your field journal, great story. Now that someone broke the ice, we should all score a nice one now.
This weekend I had a real nice 8 pt. work his way down a ridge and crossed a creek bottom I was hunting about 60 yds. away. Couldn't get him close enough for a shot. Weather was pretty bad. Rained all 4 days with today being a mix of cold rain and sleet. Warm shower felt nice.
Anyone else have any luck this weekend?

I'll still go out but it makes things harder to spot and trail.
