I used to hunt there in Appalachee, just east across highway 441. I know that Morgan is a great area for deer in Georgia. The land I hunted was private, and it got sold after the land owner died. Hated that it happened.

I noticed all of the acorns getting ready to drop when I was out the other day, I need to get another stand up around a patch of them, most of my stands are on travel routes and field egdes, time to hunt over some acorns!

Well, I gained another 12 acres to hunt yesterday, A guy I work with owns it. He doesnt hunt and he made the statement "I wish someone would kill some of those deer" I guess I'll just have to help him out being the good guy I am . Noone has hunted this land for many years. While it is only 12 acres, It is bordered by hundreds of national forest acres. That nice quiet lot can look pretty good to the deer when the rest of the woods is full of noisy hunters!!

antlergetter, that sounds like a sweet little piece of ground to hunt on, I bet you could kill a truck load of does on ground like that, hopefully those big bruiser bucks will see cover on that 12 acres around your stand when your in it!

Hey Passthrew thanks for posting my hog here. I didn't even think about it after finally figuring out how to get it on the main board.
Did some scouting last night and saw a nice buck again. I have seen this guy traveling the same route several times now and he passes one of my blind locations. I'm going to stay away from that area until Oct.1st, opening day here. I hope between now and then he doesn't change his habits.

Word is, the hurricane winds we experienced here in KY blew all the acorns off the trees.
