Went out Sunday to set a stand in my favorite tree and found that lightning had hit a nearby tree and caused limbs to fall across two trails leading to my favorite tree. I've always thought about moving the stand to the north about 40 yards so I took this as a sign from above that this is the year to move it. This is the first stand I've put up so far and I have to say,it sure did feel good to be sitting up in a tree again.

I hope to make my final preparations on Saturday or Sunday. I need to put up one more stand, mow my clover, plant monster mix where I have Lab Lab now, mow a couple trails, and check my camera and I'll be all set for October 1.

Hey guy's!
I will be hanging a couple of stands this weekend in Mich. My neighbor said he saw a really nice 10 pointer the other day where our land meets his land but he is known to drink a little.....so........????? it may have been a littel bit smaller than that
I am starting to get ready for my opening weekend trip to Wis. on Sept. 16th, can't wait to get there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All my stands are out. Currently I have 3, my father has 1 and my friend has 1--so there are 5 stands scattered throughout the woods. I believe I have the best spots--but you never know
I haven't been back up to my stand since I put out my minerals--but my father went up to look and he saw some definate usage out of my main pile.
I can't wait till Oct 1

Ok--I was going to wait and see if someone else was going to ask this question (because I feel kind of stupid asking)--but maybe I'm the only one--so...
I've never scored a buck before--what is the process of getting the score? I'm not even sure if there are different methods, so I don't want to do something wrong.
thanks

Have fun hanging those stands! Hopefully you'll see some big deer while you are there.
Ohh--and on the main board--someone asked the same question I did about scoring--and this was the link that was posted if anyone needs it
