Wow, our team doesn't talk much. Come on lets here what you have been seeing or what you haven't been seeing. I haven't seen a whole lot, but I am going to be hunting the family farm and also a new area that hasn't had much hunting pressure in the last few years.

I've got my stand hung--and I just placed some "Black Magic" Deer Cane out for the deer. I also spread around some apples to get them started. I haven't got the trail cam up there yet--but I'm hoping to make the trip out to my parents this weekend to do some more scouting. I only have access to my dad's land--so I'm pretty limited to the 20 or so acres that he has. But it is bordered on one side by a nature preserve, the land is pressured heavily by the neighbors--they bring just about everyone they have ever met in their life to hunt. They do giant pushes, that funnel the deer to the other half of the group. What really stinks (if that wasn't enough)--they don't seem to care where the borders are--and have been caught numerous times miles from their land--pushing the deer back. So my trail cam serves two purposes--one, I get to see the deer--and 2--I use it as a security device.
What about all the other OH hunters on this team--what parts of OH are you hunting (I'm in Portage county)?

Sounds like a good deal Kriesis, 20 acres is plenty. You can only hunt out of one tree at a time, so you have plenty of acres to kill a nice buck. For you and our team I wish you "good luck".

Sorry guys, met to get back on sooner. I made a scouting trip the other night to the area where i killed my buck last year. I've pretty much got one word to describe the area....HOT. Trails are everywhere, with the biggest being in the southwest corner of a secluded cornfield that is covered all 4 sides with a huge grove of pines at one end that is being used as a primary bedding area. Between 6-8:00 i saw 17 deer come down the very same trail i shot my buck off last season. 6 of them were buck, 3 of them being legal. Two of the three buck were beautiful ten pointers that will score in the 130-140ish range. Its really got me pumped, i can't wait for the season!! lets here from ya'll what have you been seein and when does your season start?

I went out and took a stand down on friday to move it and I had a big surprise, the land I was moving it to was posted. It was posted by a hunting club, [:@]I was shocked, because my grandma owns the land(350 acres). I thought maybe I had not understood where the property line was. To make a long story short the hunting club posted the wrong land
. I didn't get much scouting done or the stand hung for that matter. I hope to hang the stand next week.
