Not much doin out this way with corn still up, all that turned up tonight was a doe and fawn. I hear they already cut the corn on the farm i hunt in York County, so i'm gunna make a trip out there for a couple days next week. Any luck with the bigger 8 turning up Rob?

Still nothing but doe, I'll be home hunting in zone 5B tuesday-fri.
They already cut the corn on the farm i hunt there so hopefully things will work out better. Anyone else seeing much?

I haven't seen a single thing...but to make me feel better--neither has my trail cam...I'm frantically looking for new land to move to--it appears that my parents land is barren--or the deer have learned to fly

I haven't hunted since Oct. 11 but I will be hitting the woods tomorrow morning and evening weather permiting. It is suppose to rain. I plan on hunting a little harder from now through the rut, but with three kids you never know whats going to come up.
Kriesis, hang in there man, maybe permission to hunt some deer infested land will come your way.
Safe hunting everyone.

Well guys, i killed a big doe on Wenesday evening. She went 123 on the scale after being field dressed. The buck activity has been picking up, Thursday morning i saw a small 5pnter and in the evening i came very close to ending my season on a nice 7pnter who prolly would go in the neighborhoodof 120''. I had him broadside at about 15yards but the area is so thick, i couldn't get a good shot. The only shot i had was about 35yards and i wasn't comfortable with that so i left him go. I've got alot of time to hunt the last 3 weeks, so I'm really excited especially with the amount of new buck sign i've seen in the last week. Good luck all

Well I finally saw some buck activity this weekend. Sat morning just as it was getting light what looked to be a mature buck crossed a cut wheat field I was hunting the edge of. He was big bodied but with the low light and a little fog I couldn't get a good idea of antler size. Sunday morning was calm and quiet until I heard one of my favorite noises, a buck grunting. The doe he was hounding went passed my stand quickly. He didn't chase her but continued to grunt as my heart raced. As he came toward me thru the thick brush I could see he was decent so I got ready to draw. Just before he came out of the brush I drew my bow. He turned out to be a 2 1/2 year old 7 point. Still a little early for me. I let down as he passed behind some more brush. Then out came a 1 1/2 year old 6 point and they began to spar about 40 yards from me. The 7 point was noticeably bigger but the 6 point was holding his ground well. So no success story here as far as inches go but definately an entertaining morning in the woods.
