April 20th (Ohio opener) I have a 9 am exam..[:@][:@][:@] Oh well, I'll be out that afternoon and the next morning, and about all the free time I'll have until May 17th.

April 22 - May 10are theIndiana dates. Hopefully the birds will cooperate either atour farm in Indiana, or right down the road from my house in Ohio.
Remember, were only open till noon in Ohio
I know.. I wanna try and roost some birds that evening, for the morning. Thats legal right? I hope so

As long as you don't shoot one in the face, it's perfectly legal.

Hey guys, been hunting the last couple of days without much success. The turkeys on my lease have gotten tight lipped, i went out this mornin before work to listen were i knew one was but he never said a word. I decided to setup on a gasline and see what would happen, called a little and got no response, bout 7:00 i decided to get loud and cutt a little to try to fire one up again no such luck. I was gettin ready to leave when i seen a hen come out a couple hundred yds up the line,I yelped a couple of times and another bigger turkey walked out coming my way, i figured i was out of luck because ihad to wade a beaver pond this mornin and didnt think they would pitch across it well i was wrong. I was amazed that both of the turkeys pitched across the pond, after about 20 mins they finally got into range were i could get a good look at them and thats when iseen they where both hens! I was a little let down when the last one stepped out the tall grass, but i noticed that she was twice the size of the other one andwas sportin about a 9 inch beard! I have been wanting to get one mounted for a while, but all the ones i've seen have had short beards. Well after watching her peck around for about twenty mins and much contemplation I decided to shoot her. So her she is, I will try to get better pics on her later! She weighed 12 pounds and had a 8 3/4 beard.
