Good going guys... Those are some nice birds.I have been out three days and the closest I have had was this morning. Worked a bird for about an hour and had hin down to less than 75 yards in the swamp and I needed about 10 minutes or so to get him in range and that's when I seen fromthe right corner of my eyetwo camo yahoos trying to slip between me and the bird I was working. Needless to say the bird seen them and he was gone. So frustrating. Will try again next week.

Wow, you guys sure have been busy! Congrats on the birds! Sorry for being late to the party. I've been SWAMPED lately. Fiance and I bought a house in Feb, and we're planning for a wedding, not to mention juggling all of that with work and my grad classes! I've got a flock eyed up on the property now, and have heard them gobbling on roost one morning this week. April 25th can't get here soon enough!

Midsouth... I hate when that happens... I cannot stand how some turkey hunters do not respect others and their set ups... I have had that happen several times... came close to giving a guy a choke job one time..

Anyway, stick with it... you'll get em..
MGH... I don't envy you on your situation... glad that is all over with.. good luck w/ it all.. maybe the team will crash the wedding like the wedding crasher movie! LOL

JW!... no wise comments from Arrow yet on the birds, eh?

Hey am in Georgia and will be hunting Tennessee on my way home.
My 3rd day hunting
3-27-09
15# 13 oz
beard 6" spurs 1/2 and 9/16
NWTF is 15.8125 + 5 + 5.625 + 12 = 38.4375
Ya a small guy but this was a classic turkey hunt. From going away from me with hens - quiet for an hour and then coming back in in full strut after a long cat and mouse batltle and I won!
shot this boy 8 paces from where I sat and again put the liven smack down on his ole head. Not a pellet hole in any meat!

I could see right through the hole is his head!

JW

Ps dog1 - 2
JW 2
but dog's gut pile is heavier

Poured rain today - not a problem - but lightning kept me in the truck far longer than I liked!

But just as soon as the lightning left I hit the woods. Ran to my blind and got set-up and sat there dead quiet. I was hoping the rain would quit.
It did after a long 2 hour wait - then I touched the calls and I got 9 this morning! Shot the dang things with my video camera! all jakes and I had the big boy close but could not close the deal.

Wednesday is the bow opener here in Kansas. I have the first 5 days off so some smackdown will commence. Lots of birds strutting here but we got 5 inches of snow yesterday so that may have grouped them back up. I hope not.
