There's quite a bit of public land near the border, but I don't hunt any of it myself (I'm up near DC). Check out this out.

I live right down from fancy gap. The biggest national forest close to there is Jefferson national forest.

All hunters I challege you to make our sport to grow in 2005.We all enjoy the outdoors or we would not be posting messages or checking out these sights.Lets take our kids hunting and fishing whenever possible. This is the only way we can keep our passion for hunting alive. There are so many groups that oppose our beliefs and our rights to purchase and enjoy firearms that is becoming increasingly alarming. We need to respect each other and the landowners who provide us with these opportunities to use their land for hunting.Landowners please allow responsible sportsman to continue to use your property for hunting.I hope everyone has a safe and successful hunting year in 2005. good luck and go sox.
