Big state. Do you want to narrow it down a little bit more?

Jimmy,

where do you hunt on the Eastern Shore?

Hey Turkey Nut, there are plenty of good places to hunt in Virginia. I have hunted on the eastern shore which is over ran by deer, surry, courtland, suffolk, chesapeake, southhampton county, etc. Let me know where in VAyou are talking about........

actually i am looking currently for somewhere to hunt on the eastern shore. I have a beach house on the bay side just outside of Exmore Va and the land there is locked up by hunters already. when i go to my house it is a 15 min ride through nothing but fields and EVERY NIGHT you see 130 and up class deer. some have probably been pushing 160. I have tried everything i know to get on some land but every farmer i talk to has already leased his or is not willing to do it. I cant find out who is taking it up or i would offer to get in on it.

There is a lot of good public land in Bath, Botetourt, Rockbridge and Alleghany County if you want to venture over he to the westside of the state

Jimmy,

I can get the presidents e-mail for you. The club used to be big into dog hunting, but did away with it last year. My buddy remained with the club while i opted to join another club closer to home. He had some success out there harvesting a very nice 8 pointer during the bow season.I will contact him and see if he can forward the information to you. You said you live on the Eastern Shore?
