A true hunter picks up trash when he sees it in the out doors
a true hunter will not shoot at a animal unless it is a clean kill
a true hunter obeys the laws and hunts in the right season
a true hunter puts safety before fun
a true hunter hunts with a 70 pound mathews classic like me
but it is up to you to pick up that trash when you see it while hunting and that will tell wether or not you are a true hunter

Hunting is not about the kill, any hunter will tell you. It's bonding with mother nature and being around the things that she and god provided us. It is a type of entertainment, being outside will the rest of the small things that the world is composed of. Hunting is keeping animal population in check. Hunters are not cruel, mean, degrading, evil, or trigger happy, all of which I have been called in my past. A hunter should be confident, willing, stong ( both menatlly and physically), educated to his/ her best ability, giving, caring, understanding, and NOT greedy or selfish. A hunter is a person who can see, smell, hear, and feel like the animal they are preying upon. I am a hunter.

Debate or flame war?
Besides Zak, everyone knows Bowhunters are smarter than Rifle Hunters. It would be unfair.

Pse, I rarely debate on the forums. When we had a go it was a once in a lifetime chance.
If you really want to see a heated debate start a bowhunting verses gun hunting thread.

Hunting isn't about taking a life from the Earth. It is about what you give back to Mother Nature. You give her and the Earth respect and you will be payed off in a big way. I think it is all about respect for your fellow hunters, the animal, and mother nature.

personally i think a true hunter is someone who goes out and has fun hunting. they may not know waht they're doing. they try what they know, and are happy even if they dont succeed. they also share the sport with others and will jump at the chance to take another hunting.
